XIV | THE VOICE

"Hey, Annie. I need to tell you something."

Elise was staying at Annie's room for the moment after the Spring Fairest, and the fact that Darling was still missing. "Hmm? What is it?"

"Um, I already told Raven and Cerise about this earlier. But, I've been hearing a voice, well, more like talking to me in my mind." Annie stopped at what she was doing, brushing her hair. "What?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but, it helped me and others to find out what was wrong with Apple earlier." Annie sat down beside her at her bed. "Do you think it's one of your powers?"

"No, I thought that earlier but it answered to me with no." Elise laid on Annie's bed, sighing. "Well, how about you talk to it?" Annie suggested, laying beside her. "Wait, is it a male or a female?"

"A female. And, her voice is very calming, like mom's." Elise answered. "Hmm, maybe you can talk to her in your dream? I don't really know what to say since I'm not experiencing what you're experiencing." Annie chuckled, sitting up. "That's... a good idea, actually. At least I can ask where why she's suddenly speaking to me in my head."

"Yeah, who knows her intentions." Annie yawned after. "Well, we should probably get some sleep. The Spring Fairest seriously tired me out."

Elise nodded. "I'll go back to my room now. Goodnight!" Annie answered back with a 'goodnight' also.

Elise's POV (Dream)

I opened my eyes and was met with white walls... well, everything was white. "Hello?" I called out, confused on what this 'dream' is all about.

"Hello, Elise." I turned around and saw a person wearing a white cloak. The hood covering half of its face. "Who are you?"

"The voice who was talking to you earlier." My eyes widened. "Why were you suddenly talking to me in my mind earlier? You're not evil, are you." She chuckled at me and took a couple steps near me. 

"No, I am not. In fact, I am here to guide you along with your future adventures." I raised a brow at her. "What do you mean?"

"There are a lot of events that you will be undergoing, along with your friends. That, and discovering some of your news powers along the way."

"Wait! Do you know what will be my other powers?" I questioned, hoping that she'll tell. "Yes, I do. But, I'll be leaving you with the discovery part. I figure it is much better." She walked slowly away from me.

"What, why? Wouldn't it be better if you just tell me?" I exclaimed, running towards her but was block with a force field surrounding her, making me unable to touch her.

"I believe it's best for you to find out what they are, you have more adventures coming to you soon." The female said to me once again. "What about my father? Do you know where he is? Or who he is?"

"Hmm... I in fact do know your father. After all, he is famous in this fairytale land."

"Famous? Then how come I do not know him? Or anyone?"

"Goodbye now, Elise." She disappeared and white surrounding are now turning black. When it reached my spot, I fell down, screaming along the way.

"Wait! Help!

And then, I woke up.

End of Elise's POV (Dream)

Elise jolted awake. She sat up on her bed and saw her room mate Lizzie still asleep. Looking towards her alarm clock, it read 6:53AM.

"She knows about my powers and my father. But why wouldn't she tell me?" She whispered under her breath. She rubbed her hands to her face due to frustration. She stopped once she heard Lizzie waking up. "What time is it?"

"6:54AM." She answered to the now awake Lizzie.

"After the events yesterday, Headmaster Grimm still wants us to have classes." Lizzie groaned, standing up from her bed and went to the bathroom.

Elise chuckled at her, then frowning as she remembered her dream. She pulled her knees up below her chin as she rests her head on them. 

"Why does everyone have to make the whereabout of my father so complicated? Why can't they just tell me?"

"Annie!" 

Elise called out to her cousin, who walking through the hallway with Andy. "Huh? Oh, hey Elise?" The twins ran up to her. "So, did she talked to you in your dream?"

Andy stared at them in confusion. "Um, what?"

"Oh, Elise told me yesterday when we were at my room that someone is talking to her in her mind." Annie explained to him. "Really?" Elise nodded to his question.

"So... What happened?" Annie asked her previous question again.

"Well, she told me that there will be some events that, I guess you two and our other friends, we'll be undergoing in the future. And, she also told me that she knows what my other powers are." Elise slumped her shoulders. 

"What are they then?" Andy asked. "That's my problem! She didn't tell me! She said that I'll be discovering them along the way." Elise furiously sighed. Annie put a hand on her shoulder.

"She knows of my father but she ignored me once again. Ugh, this is stressing me out."

"Hey, don't worry too much. Like I said before, me and Andy will help you. Now come on, we still have a class to attend to." The three then started walking to their class, the twins comforting Elise along the way.
