Elise's POV

"Snowflake? May I come in?" I heard my mom called from outside my bedroom's door. I was busy packing my things since I will be studying at Ever After High and will be leaving tomorrow morning.

"Yes, mom," I answered, and the door opened, revealing my mom, Elsa.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" She asked as she sat at the end of my bed. To be completely honest, I am scared for tomorrow.

I was homeschooled ever since because of the troubles of controlling my power. Thanks to my mom living half of her life like I do, she understands my fear.

I sighed, putting the last dress in my bag before zipping it. "I am not ready," I breathed out as I sat beside her. She smiled and put an arm around my shoulders.

"I know, Elise. You're afraid because you might hurt some people with your powers."

"It's not just that, mom." I stood up and went towards my bedroom's window where there was a clear view of the night sky.

"From what I know, we will be signing the Book of Legend this year which will seal our destiny in the future." I explained, as I remembered the story of my mother and my aunt.

"If you don't want to sign, then don't. You don't have to follow other people's choice just because of a book." She said, as we face each other. "I know, but, you know how people can be judgmental these days." We both chuckled.

"Well, whatever you choice is, I'll support you. Along with your aunt and your cousin." She smiled at me, which I returned.

"Just remember to follow you heart. And, don't let fear win over you. Fear is what can't be trusted. I don't want you following the footsteps that I had in the past."

"Anyway, you should get some sleep. You have a school to attend to tomorrow." She said as she guided me to the bed. As she was about to leave, I grabbed her hand.

"Goodnight, mom." I told her as I got comfortable in my bed. "Goodnight, Snowflake." She said and turned off the light before closing the door.

'Tomorrow's a new life to attend to, Elise. Don't mess it up.'
