Chapter 5

Raymond's POV

Through the whole lecture, my gaze kept finding those hazel orbs that were already staring at me.

After i finished my speech it was time for questions. And to say that i hate it would be an understatement. Earlier i could just bear with it but today, i have to be extra careful. As my mate would be watching me. My performance today would determine my future. As they say first impression matters the most.

I was purposefully avoiding girls as i know what they want to ask. But there were so many of them that i just can't avoid.

My eyes looking at her everytime it's the next turn to ask questions. She never raised her hand to ask which disappointed me. I would answer any questions she had. But all she did was stare at me. Though i wanted to hear her voice, but it's alright. After this, I'll go find her and ask her to come with me. Maybe to the pack, in my house? Or would she prefer going to the hotel? But i really want to take her home. Our Home.

I was done with these things. My patience was running out now. I want to go to my mate and these questions keep on coming. I finally said them that I'll answer one last question and I'll go as I've got a busy schedule.

That's when i saw a girl about to jump on me. Thanks to my fast wolf reflexes i avoided her just in time.

I turned towards the crowd to see her but saw her getting up from her seat along with her friend. I knew that was my chance to meet her.

I was about to leave when I heard an irritating voice ring in my ears.

"How..how could you do this to me?"

I turned to look at her and gave her my warning death glare that immediately cause her to shiver in fear.

"I..i mean to say... Mr. Woods..why..why didn't you catch me..when i fall down?" This time she asked more politely.

"I don't have the habit to entertain people who throw themselves at me." I said as i gave my bodyguard a look to take care of everything here and turned towards my angel.

All i could see was a shocked expression after which she went out of the hall.

I literally ran after her to catch up with her and ask her to come with me to talk.

When i came out of the building i saw her talking and smiling with her friend while walking. They both seemed like good friends.

As i reached just behind her, i placed my right hand on her shoulder and the touch made electric sparks tingle on my hands. The flinch she made didn't go unnoticed by me. Maybe she felt those electric sparks too.

A moment later, she finally turned around, shocked written all over her face. Her hazel orbs held so many expressions that even for me it was hard to tell what she was thinking.

I gathered all my courage, took a deep breath and said in my deep, husky voice that i knew was sexy, and she'll definitely like it.

"Ahh..hi"

We held our gaze for a moment before she broked it and looked in a random direction. I could tell she was nervous and shy. And that made Axel and me dance in happiness. Our innocent little mate.

"H...hi" she said with her voice shaking. But might I say, her voice was so much better than i imagined it would be. It was like music to my ears and i could listen to her all day.

I pushed my thoughts away to focus on reality. I coughed once and said with hopeful eyes "do you mind having a talk with me?"

"Ah..s...sure..i...i don't...mind" she said. Then looked at her friend. My eyes also went towards her, hoping she would give us sometime alone.

As if she took the hint, she said "call me if anything happens. I'll come to pick you."

My angel gave her a little nod and i think she muttered a small thank you. Though i wanted to defend myself, i dropped the idea as I'll prove myself to her.

"Let's go" i said took her hand and walked towards my car.

And I'm already addicted to holding her hand. I love that tingling when I hold hands with her.
