3rd POV

How lucky Match was to not be given the wheel. If they were zey'd prolly be sleeping with the wheel pointing towards the cliff. Thank god Pencil clutched and took the wheel. A nice little nap while Pencil attempts to stay awake every day to keep on driving.

But pencil managed. How?

By giving a fuck about how gasoline and snow creates glue. Yeah.

But eventually during the snowy evening it got really cold.

Match, looking back, sees Ruby who was shivering with a blanket around her.

Aww, Match's love was cold. They decided to do something about it.

"Hey Pencil, stop the car for a minute?"

"W-wha? Why..?" She pulls up one hand and yawns in it before putting it down onto the steering wheel.

"Just for a second so I can move to the back-"

"You're gonna leave me here!?" Asked pencil in a dramatic and somehow offended looking way.

"No no no, I'm moving bubble there with you!" Pencil seemed to consider it.

"Fine. But when we get to the city you're moving back here okay?"

"Like, deal." Match hops out and carefully unbuckles the fragile girl and quietly carried her over to the front before squeezing themself in between Ruby and the wall. The car then started up again.

"Hey...hey love..." The red gem snorts a little from her snores and slowly opens her eyes.

"Wh-match..?"

"Yes babe..." Pencil scoffs in a good manner. Of course Match would cuddle with Ruby, they're practically inseparable.

"Match what...what are you doin in the back?" The gem whispers. The match shushes her, petting her head.

"Just go bed love. I'll keep you warm for now okay?" Match looks for a somewhat warm looking blanket, coming across a fluffy knitted one. Happily taking it, zey went ahead and covered the both of them inside the blanket before zey hugged Ruby's body, moving their arm up and down Ruby's arm.

The girl sighs heavily as the warmth she was engulfed in touched her cold heart.

"O-okay..." Ruby placed her head on Match's chest. They giggled before falling asleep too. Despite Ruby being as cold as the snow, she was pretty warm.

The two huddle together as the car kept driving through the snow.

The next morning came and as Match opens their eyes they see see many big purple and gray buildings. But they didn't like the tall buildings or the beautiful match factory nearby, no.

They woke up to fawn over the sight of Ruby sleeping, drool going down her mouth and onto the Match's wooden stick.

Zey giggle before kissing the Ruby's head. The girl stirs a little before deciding to open her eyes.

"Morning Matchy..."

"Good morning love. How was your sleep?"

"Good! I was a lot more warmer last night...thank you so much love-"

"Alright alright enough of that icky 'I'm so in love with you!' And get out of the van!" Pencil screamed. Match and Ruby roll their eyes before stepping out of the van- err, moreover Match...Ruby was carried by them.

Out of the small, cramped up van and into the outer world with fresh air.

The first thing that Ruby did once she was carried out of the stuffed van was rush Match to any candy store there is and steal some- a ton of candy. All the match could do was blush at the sight of Ruby stuffing candy in her mouth.

It was a long day for the couple, but eventually the group generally met back up at the tallest tower to hang firey's cage at.

It ended with Match petting Ruby's head as the latter snores herself to sleep.

Match couldn't help the heaviness filled in zeir chest, the need to sleep.

And Ruby's warmth wasn't helping zem.

So Match gave up trying. Fuck Pencil needing them away, they want to sleep with their Ruby.

And so they did.

The group watches their friends fall asleep together, scoffing and laughing in a good way about their inseparable friends.
