"What is this movie about anyway?" Pen asked Tree who was about to sit down with a bowl of popcorn in hand. The two sit in front of Tree's TV and are about to watch a movie. A ROM-COM movie that Tree desperately wanted to watch. After a ton of arguing and debating between a ROM-COM and an action movie, Pen gave up and sadly agreed to watch a ROM-COM with Tree to which Tree excitedly hugged Pen while saying thank you.

It was the small things like this that had his heart swooning. That has his stomach's heart pulsing and his body feeling weak in Tree's arms. It was these small things that drove Pen to stupidly agree with Tree on anything.

Tree could tell him to hug him and he would. To make him lunch for school and he would. He would even crawl on the floor for Tree with enough convincing. If anything, convincing Pen is easy when it comes to Tree.

Just beg, be affectionate, and whisper in his ear and he'll be Tree's obedient servant.

"Okay. The movie's on. I'm so excited! I've been wanting to watch this movie!" Tree said with excitement. Pen looks at him and smiles.

"I know. I've heard you talk about it many times before..." Pen said while crossing his arms.

"I can't believe we're watching this over Spider-Man..." he mumbled. Tree hummed confusingly.

"Why? What's wrong with a romantic comedy that has your pants in a bunch?" Tree remarked to which Pen could only roll his eyes.

"Romance is so cheesy and dumb! How can you even watch it without gagging and retching?" Pen asked while looking up at Tree. Tree scoffs before relaxing himself on the couch.

"Whatever, Pen. Trust me, this movie will change your outlook on romance. Trust me." Tree said. The film then began to roll, leaving Pen no time for a response

Damn. For a romantic comedy, this was pretty sad. Why would Amelia do that to Josh? He never deserved that.

Josh didn't deserve to be left alone after Amelia just confessed. He liked her back, and for her to just up and leave to live in France was just...upsetting. Why can't she just man up and face him? That's the only right thing to do.

"Jesus, you wanted to see this?" Pen asked Tree only to be met with silence. Pen turns his head to look at Tree and finds him sleeping on his shoulder.

Wow. So interested in the movie that he didn't notice Tree taking a nap on his shoulder the whole time. The movie must be really good then.

"Tch. There's no way he slept through a movie he wanted to watch." Pen said with a grin. Tree was so stupid at times. despite being one of the academy's principal's honor roll students. He noticed just how attractive Tree was. Damn, we're the girls not wrong about him.

He could ramble on and on about his looks. Tree's scent reminds Pen of the smell of a new coffee shop. Tree's eyes remind him of the beautiful black coffee he would die for on a Monday morning in his English class, but his skin tone is like the bark of an old tree on a winter morning. Pen loves Tree, but not just for his body and face.

Pen's love for Tree is like a Helichrysum. Everlasting, even when it's dry or stale. Pen could think of Tree for god knows how long and would feel energized in five minutes. Ready to take on the world again. To be extroverted and talk to people again for hours on end.

"So stupid. Wanting to watch a movie then sleeping throughout the rest of it." Pen said while rolling his eyes playfully. He then looks at the TV and its end credits.

Should he say something to Tree? That stupid romantic comedy has him rethinking about Tree. Maybe it's better to confess. To not become like an Amelia. But fuck was it so hard. He can suddenly feel for Amelia.
