I managed to force my eyes open and screamed. It took me a minute to work out where I was and cried. I was in so much pain, I had forgotten what had happened and I needed someone to tell me where I was and what happened. I screamed for Mikey to see if he was still around. It ended up coming out as a screamed whisper but he still heard it. “It's OK I'm here. It's OK. Calm down” he said. I felt him take my hand and I tried to slow my breathing down and tried to sit up and failed. “I've got you” he said gently. “What happened?”

“I had a bad dream. I didn't know where I was, what was going on, I couldn't open my eyes, I couldn't speak and everything was stiff. I was so scared” I whispered.

“It was only a dream. Don't worry I won't ever let anything happen to you” he replied. I nodded and took a deep, shaky breath. “How you feeling now?”

“I don't really remember much. I'm in a lot of pain and I cant move my left side. What happened?”

“When we got in the car, we did an injury check and your the only one who got hurt. We got you back here and got you checked over and you had been shot in the side and your back entire left side is paralysed. Your running a fever and are really weak at the moment. That's what happened. Only you could manage to get yourself shot while shooting back” he explained, with a huge grin on his face. It still didn't quite sink in that I couldn't actually move my left side. He smiled and I melted inside. It was one of those smiles that made you think that everything would be OK at the end of the day and it was a trusting smile.

“You need to get some sleep” I smiled. She scrunched her face up and I laughed at her. It was easy to tell she was starting to feel better because she was getting her sense of humour back. She was never one to sleep unless made to sleep unless drugged or knocked unconscious. It was quite strange. Someone so small, who hardly ate anything as it is, could stay awake all night and not be tired the next day! Something we could never understand but it was good because if we needed someone to keep watch at night, she would do it no questions asked.

“Well, maybe I don't wanna go to sleep” she smirked. I grinned and sat in front of her.

“Well, maybe you should because then you will be getting better faster wont you?”

“Oh blah. You dunno what your on about! Besides, I've been asleep for hours!”

“Oh I do. Besides, if you don't get better, how will be I be able to do this?” I asked, leaning in and kissing her. I pulled away and looked at her stunned face. “You OK?”

“Uh... I don't know” she stumbled over her words.

“Sorry I guess I should ha--” I was cut off by her lips against mine. Well, at least I didn't have to worry about upsetting her. We both heard gasps at the windows and pulled away to see what was going on. “Oh typical” I grumbled. Bloody peepers!

“Check you two out. You know, you should close your curtains” Gee grinned. I flipped him off. It only made him laugh harder.

“You know, you shouldn't be peeping in peoples windows. It's unsafe and could get you killed. Especially if someone does something like take their gun out and aim it between your eyes” I retorted. He laughed and I shut the window, pulling the curtains shut as it was getting dark anyway. “That should keep them out” I said, gently.

“Silly perverts anyway” she grinned. I nodded and smiled and climbed onto the bed next to her and lay down. Finally, everything was starting to fall into place and started to feel like it was getting better. Jeez, I hope that was the case. If not I don't think I would what to do to make it all feel better!
