Day of the Great Devourer

3rd POV:

Wu told his students to go in which all of them were hesitant to do but Nya quickly complied and carried both Lloyd and Lyric back to the bounty. 

"But Nya what about uncle and the others?" Lyric asked looking back. 

"The guys will manage, we need to go to the bounty quick." 

"What about uncle?" This time Lloyd asked. 

Nya opened her mouth but quickly closed it back. When Nya didn't answer Lyric called out. "Nya?" 

"He'll be fine." Nya replied lying. 

Lyric already knew what happened to her uncle but she can't help but ask if what she saw really happened, first her dad and now her uncle? who's next her brother? 

'Oh, please not my brother.' Lyric thought trying not to jinx herself in this situation. 

We arrived at the bounty and quickly ran up to the bridge. Nya went to the controls as Lloyd and Lyric went to the window and watched as a big-wait let me rephrase that, a humungous snake! Chasing the ninjas. 

"Fire up the engines." Nya ordered the two kids but the two ignored Nya as the two worriedly watched the ninjas getting chased. " I said fire up the engines!" Nya ordered again this time louder. 

The two snapped out of their thoughts as Lloyd went to fire up the engines. "There's no wind. And we only have reserved fuel." Lloyd stated. 

"Use it."

Just then the ninja arrived in time. " Uh, hate to tell you this, but objects in the mirror are closer than they appear."  Jay said. 

"Working on it. Blasters on full." Nya Turned on the blasters as the bounty went full speed ahead. 

"Whoo-hoo! Take that, you stupid snake." Kai cheered thinking they lost the snake but as if on cue, the snake appeared upfront. 

"Uh, I think it heard you." 

"You think!?" Lyric retorted but it fell on deaf ears. 

" Nya, we gotta go faster. That thing is gaining on us." Kai said. 

"We're going as fast as we can. I'll try to make it to Scattered Canyon." Nya replied. 

"Probability of us making it that far is less than 8 percent." Zane calculated. 

"Never tell me the odds!/ Don't jinx us, Zane!" Both Nya and Lyric yelled simultaneously.

"It's coming in for another attack. Port side." 

Nya abruptly turned the wheel to the left. 

"We're losing speed. We'll drop to the ground pretty soon." Lloyd stated. 

 "Throw everything overboard." Nya instructed. 

"What?" All yelled in unison sans Lyric looking at Nya in shock and confusion. 

 "We need to lose some weight." Nya elaborated. 

 "Port side!" Lloyd yelled out. 

The ninja all went out and threw everything overboard but Lyric began to notice that the snake was becoming bigger than it was before. "Um...is it just me or is that thing getting bigger?" Lyric wondered aloud. 

"You're not the only one." Jay said agreeing to Lyric. 

" Phew. We made it to Scattered Canyons. Hold on!" They went through the canyon as Nya steered in swifts and turns and they all eventually thought that they lost the snake.
