3rd POV:
Have you ever felt useless at some point in your life?
If you have then you know exactly how Lyric feels.
The feeling of uselessness.
The feeling of guilt of not being able to help when you were needed.
She wished this feeling would end but how can she when she couldn't do anything to help her brother?
Even though a vision came to her to help her know what her powers can do, she still can't control it which made her fear herself.
How can she fight without even knowing how to control her powers?
The things she did before were done unconsciously.
She needed to know how to properly use her powers with the help of the book, that's why right now, Lyric is heading towards the jungle from where the crashed bounty was and went looking for the book
After finding the book for the past thirteen minutes she finally found the book.
"Finally." She let out a tired breath and picked up the book then she noticed something. All of the books she kept in the bounty are all had broken covers and were dirty but the book in her hand wasn't.
She was bewildered by this but decided to investigate this later.
She opened the book and nothing, another failure.
She closed the book waited for 10 seconds and opened it again, but still none. By now she was getting frustrated.
Out of desperation, she put the book over her head and was about to throw it on the ground when her necklace glowed.
She stopped, looked at her necklace, and saw the book also glowing.
She set the book down and her necklace and the book continued to glow. Letting out a nervous breath, she opened the book once more, this time it worked.
A spiral of purple glowed around her and appeared in a giant orb in front of her and it appeared into a ghostly woman.
The woman was very beautiful, her hair black as a raven, and her eyes dull but glowing silver.
Her complexion war, a smile on her face. She was floating and her whole figure is transparent, she was practically a ghost or a spirit.
"You finally figured it out." The woman said.
"Umm, figured what out?" Lyric asked.
"Figured how to open the book of course." Lyric tilted her head in confusion and the woman realized as she put a hand over her mouth. "It opened by accident, didn't it?"
Lyric nodded her head as the woman sighed.
"I figured. I too had a difficult time opening it." The women smiled lightly.
"Not to be rude, but who are you?" Lyric asked.
"Who am I?" The woman chuckled. "My dear Lyric, you've already read about me."
It took a moment for Lyric to realize what the woman meant. Her eyes widen as she looked at the woman in wonder.
"You're the second Guardian...Irina"
The woman giggled in delight and twirled around mid-air. "Indeed I am. Now tell me, why do you need my assistance?"
Lyric frowned. "I-I just feel useless right now...my brother's destiny is to fight our father, and I wanna help him but...I don't know how to use my powers, I'm afraid I'll hurt someone if I don't learn to control it."
