It took a lot more time than I wanted to get from Paris to Nigeria, where I was picked up. Shuri had later texted me to tell me that Okoye and Ayo, the Dora Milaje General and soldier would be bringing me to Wakanda.

I couldn't even contain the joy I felt from just thinking of seeing him. My hands were shaking, my powers were fluctuating, but it was all worth it. He was worth it.

I now waited with bated breath, prepared for the jet to touch down upon Wakandan soil momentarily.

"Approaching the barrier. Prepare yourself, Miss Romanoff." Okoye instructed from the cockpit.

I strapped myself in, and said a quick prayer. I didn't doubt Okoye's piloting. I doubted the plane itself. But we landed gently, and I took a deep breath. It was time.

The General and her soldier led me out from the jet hatch, where I was immediately bombarded with a hug from a certain Princess. Shuri practically jumped onto me like a spider monkey, almost knocking me over.

"I've only been gone for three months!" I said laughing as I hugged Shuri.

She grumbled something, before letting go. "It felt like longer. The thing that hurts is that you only came back for your Sergeant." Shuri teased, and I rolled my eyes while tousuling her dark hair.

"We have missed you here, Alessia." T'challa spoke up. I smiled brightly at the King, before he embraced me for a tender hug.

"Hopefully, I won't be leaving for awhile." I said, looking to Shuri knowingly.

The girl rolled her eyes, before taking my hand. "Fine, fine. Let's go see your Bucky." She said, making my eyes light up. Without question, I followed Shuri wherever she was taking me, with Ayo and another soldier trailing behind us.

"You're not going to the lab?" I asked after noticing the path we took was away from the palace, not towards it.

Shuri turned back to wink at me. "He's not in the lab. After we woke him up, Bucky underwent brain surgery, where my team and I, mostly me, basically disassembled the neurons in his brain that were affected by Hydra. Once the neurons were split, we used a special kind of voltage to destroy the bad parts. He is recovering, in a small house by a pond, that will hopefully be used by you both." The genius unloaded, stunning me with everything I had missed.

I blinked a few times, before I nodded. "Thank you, Shuri. I'm so grateful." I said, and the princess smiled.

"I know." She finished with a wink, and we continued down the path, each step getting us closer and closer to a small hut in the distance.

The land surrounding the hut was absolutely breathtaking. A large field, next to a large pond. The setting sun was sparkling on the water, making everything shine. From the hut, you could see the entire city, including the palace. It was close enough to not be deserted, but far enough away to make it peaceful.

It was home. So long as we had peace, Wakanda was forever home.

"Wait here by the water. Don't turn around. Take your hearing aids out." Shuri instructed suddenly, as we came upon the hut.
