Time Is Many Things. (Through the looking glass)

Chapter Five: Chromosphere.

Previously:

"She's here!" Came Times loud yell.

"Who's here?" I asked no one in particular.

"I have no idea, but we're not leaving yet," she told me, determinedly.

Alice and I quickly walked towards all the racket, hiding when necessary and trying our best to not get caught; this time.

We saw a shadow coming and swiftly hide between the walls.

We peek out to see some wickets stand before the women.

"Your highness-

"YOUR MAJESTY," she yelled... giving away who she is. My angry big red head Aunt.

"Oh no," I whisper to Alice, she gives me a look of shock and horror that match my own. Wherever she is, no good follows.

"Your majesty, my Lord is expecting your presence in the parlour," the wicket told her.

"Oh never mind, I'll announce myself," she said blowing a small horn and yelling something.

"Why is she here?" I asked. "Isn't she supposed to be banished and not have a friend in the world, Is Time her friend?" I started rambling.

"Anna. Anna, stop. We need to find that Chromosphere," she reminded me.

"Right, sorry. Where shall we go?" I asked as she started walking in a direction, being sure not to be seen.

Alice and I found our way back to the grand clock machine. We found a small tunnel and crept through it to the other side; which was like we were in a giant clock... well, yeah we are, but this area would really give it away.

In the centre was a glowing electrical ball.

"The Chromosphere," Alice assumed, which does make sense.

Alice made a jump for it on the first pendulum, then the next, and the next until she makes it to the centre.

"Aren't you coming?" She asked me, I nodded and repeated what she did. "What's gotten into you Anna? You were so keen on coming, to help Hatter..." she asked me as I landed.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry, my mind is just on my crazy Aunt, and the fact that... you know what, never mind, let's get that Chromosphere," I tell her with a shake of my head.

We make our way to the electric ball and Alice reaches for it, taking it from its place causing a glitch to wave around the place; if Time didn't know that we're still here, he does now.

So many wickets, more than I thought, they are started forming into something together; like a monster.

"Seconds into minutes," Alice exclaims.

We start running to get away from the now minutes wickets.

More and more wickets forms making more than one minutes.

Alice and I slides down a ladder, yes you heard that correctly, we slid down the ladder; not landing on our feet causing Alice to drop the Chromosphere which all of a sudden somehow enlarging it.

"Woah," I exclaimed, amazed.

Alice and I look up to see Time, and my Aunt; whom immediately spots Alice and whispers her name.

We look up as we hear a racket only to see the minutes coming for us, I grab Alice's hand.

"Come on," I tell her as we get up and hop in the Chromosphere.

"NOO, STOP THEM," I hear Time yell.

Alice and I looks around panicky.

"What do we do?" I asked stupidly as Alice looks up at a lever that says; pull me. So she does, causing us to fly upwards.

"Which idiot labeled that?" Time asked one of his wickets.

"Uhh, you did my Lord," the wicket with the moustache answered shyly, I actually laughed at this.

Alice hit me to shut me up.

"Now, how do I work this thing?" Alice asked herself.

And she tried some things that caused us to turn and face Time himself and my Aunt.

"Alice," I panic as she moves us forward.

The closer we get, the more anxious I get.

My Aunt finally looks at me and her eyes widen. "Annalise," she said before we disappear.

We are soon surrounded by water; above and below us, side to side, it was everywhere.

And we saw pictures in the water... memories; the past.

It was a wonder.

"It's like a ship," Alice realised, starting to fly the Chromosphere with ease.

We come across an image of Hatter. He looks happy there.

Alice stops in front of the image.

"Don't worry Hatter, we'll save you and your family," Alice said to the image.

Then we go under the wave, and pass more images.

Soon, we came across Horovendoush day, Alice goes to go into that time but something bumped into us causing us to bounce off of a wave and lose focus.

We turn to see Time following us.

"Give me what is mine, give it back or there will be none of me left," he yelled.

Alice and I went spinning through a wave as Time yelled for us to 'come back'.

He bumped into us again, causing Alice to lose control and go into a completely random time.

We landed harshly just outside a small town, the Chromosphere back to its original size.

Alice picked it up and pocketed it.

"Well that's just fantastic," I said, brushing off my dress.

"Yeah, great. Let's see if we can find Hatter and his family," Alice said walking off.

I was just about to follow her until I remembered something...

"Alice," she turned to me. "My Aunt knows who I am!"
