"You're always welcome in this place," he told me.

"Our place," I corrected.

The time when it was made official:

Tarrant and I have been on a few more dates before we were officially together.

Here's how he asked -

We were having tea with our friends; Bayard, White Rabbit, Mally, Chess, the Tweedles, the hare and of course our newest member; Frankie.

I was sitting at the end of the table with Tarrant.

Cups were being thrown around and laughter could be heard from afar, it was just the usual.

"When's the wedding?" The hare joked, laughing hysterically with everyone else as I spat out my tea.

"Wedding?" Tarrant asked furrowing his eyebrows. "Who's getting married?" He asked oblivious to their joke, causing them to laugh even harder.

I cough awkwardly.

"The lovely Princess.... Annaaaa," Mally cooed, twirling around on the table.

"Anna, you're getting married?" Tarrant asked turning to me with a raised eyebrow.

"No, no no no. I'm not, they're making a joke," I tell him.

"Aaaaand youuuu, Tarrant," Chess told him smiling big and eyes going wide.

"What is in this tea?" White Rabbit asked, examining his tea.

"Oh, am I?" Tarrant asked, smirking.

"Shall it be a wedding?" Tweedledumb asked raising his finger.

"A wedding it shall be," Tweedledee said raising his teacup.

"Now, now. Stop it," I tell them. Usually I like their jokes, but not this one; I'm uncomfortable.

"Oh, it was only a joke," Mally exclaimed.

"You wanna know what's not a joke?" Tarrant asked, gaining everyone's attention.

And now that he has everyone's full attention, it's quiet; he turns to me.

"Anna," he started, causing some of the audience to coo. "It might not be obvious, it might be. But I'm falling for you... I can't help it. Spending time with you has been extraordinary... and I would like to go to the next level with you. Will you, Anna, take the next step with me and become my girlfriend?" He asked, never losing eyes contact.

"Y-yes, of course. I would love to take the next step with you, Tarrant," I tell him as I embrace him.

Everyone cheers.

"Wedding?" Mally asked. "Just kidding," she laughs as well as everyone else.
