Previously:

"Good," he said, looking around for anyone, anything. When he spots me, he frowns and pulls Alice in his home. "Your the only one," he said to her as he closes his door.

Only one.

What could that mean?

Once Alice was dragged inside, I took that as my cue to leave; I found mother and the others standing not too far from Hatters home.

Not long after, we see Alice running towards us.

"We must do something, he's so terribly ill, I fear he's; dying," Alice told us, not realising she's repeating my words. Tears welled in my eyes.

"Oh dear. Oh dear," the Rabbit panicked, causing everyone else to whine.

"We can't lose him Alice, we can't," Mally cried. And she was right; we can't lose him.

"He said to make him better I must bring his family back," Alice told us. "But that's, that can't be."

My mothers got her thinking face on as she waves one of her arms around elegantly. "Unless it could," she whispers.

"Mother, what are you on about?" I asked.

The White Rabbit gasps, the only one realising what's going on. Then my mother turned around abruptly and started walking. "Unless there was a way," she whispered to herself.

"No no no no no, you mustn't, you mustn't," the Rabbit tried.

"What is it?" Alice asked approaching mother.

"It is dangerous, too much too ask," my mother told her dramatically.

"What is it?" Alice and I asked again, determined to do anything to help Hatter.

"Alice," mother turned to her. "You must travel back in time," she turned back around and rushed off.

We all followed suit.

"Go back in time and save the Hatters family," mother said.

"The Hatters delusion made true, then he would be made well again," Chess told us.

"Go back in time?" Alice asked cautiously. "But how?"

"The Chromosphere," Chess answered mysteriously.

"I'm sorry, the Chromo what?" Alice asked.

"Chromosphere, the source that powers the grand clock all over time," the Rabbit answered. "Legend has it, that it lets one travel across ocean time."

"None of us can use it because we've been in the past, and if your past self sees your future self..." mother trailed off taking in a sharp breath.

"What happens?" Alice asked.

"There is no history of it happening, but it is said that if it were to happen everything will be history," my mother explained.

"That sounds very dangerous," Alice pointed out, I nodded agreeing with her statement.

"It is extremely so," Rabbit confirmed.

"You're not from here, only you can use it Alice," Bayard informed.

"But wait, I'm not from the past," I pointed out.

"Yes, but you cannot use it," my father spoke for the fist time.

"I'm going with her," I told them, not taking 'no' for an answer.

My mother sighed. "She's right my love, she's not from the past. She may help Alice if Alice is willing to go."

"Hatter is my truest friend, I will help him no matter what, even if Alice doesn't choose to go.... I will," I stated.

Alice gave me a look. "As will I," Alice told them causing them to cheer. "Where exactly is this Chromosphere?" Alice asked.

"In the hands of time, it's his," mother informed.

"I'm sorry, time is a he?" Alice questioned, confused.

Mother lead us to a room, one that I've never seen before. As she opens the door, we're met by a tall clock tower that is chained up, and cobwebs all around; like this room has been untouched for many years.

With a wave of her hand, the White Queen unchains the clock tower; many white birds fly upwards as the door opens; releasing a gust of wind.

"Hmm a bit cold," the hare exclaimed.

"Find times castle, borrow the Chromosphere, travel back time to Hornvendush day, save Hatters family from being killed and thereby save the Hatter," Alice made a list of things we need to do.

"And do try not to break the past, present or future," Chess said, appearing next to Alice, however addressing the both of us.

"Chess!" Mother exclaimed.

"I was only trying to help," he disappeared.

"What could go wrong?" The twins asked in unison.

Alice took my hand and a deep breath, before walking towards the opening, and climbing through. We dodge the swinging pendulum.

"Hatter's counting on you's," Mally whispered into the echoing clock.

"We all are," Chess told us as the door closed.

There's no turning back now.
