Gua Porter was always one of the smartest witches at Hexside, despite his young age. He had eventually gained an interest in humans and their culture, which only grew once he met and befriended Luz when she snuck into Hexside. When he and his friends were expelled by Amity's parents, Gus moved into the Owl House for a time to evade capture and joined Luz's Wild Witch Syndicate. Gus takes the role as the team's Goat, using his illusions to frighten and distract enemies for the others to take out. Despite having tendencies to be overexcited, he remains calm, smart, and loyal to the people he cares about and does his best to protect his friends. Also funnily enough, he was the shortest of the group when they first met, but now at 15, he's the tallest. Talk about irony, huh?
