CHAPTER 22
I was sitting in the living room, staring at the empty space, trying to figure out what to do with the information I had. I'd been so preoccupied for the past several days that Alessander had a feeling I was thinking something and he was simply waiting for me to tell him. He sat down in the chair and kissed my forehead before handing me a cup of milk.
"Are you ready to express your thoughts?" he asked, his gaze fixed on me.
"Do you remember Charlotte, the journalist I met in the vintage café?" I asked, attempting to lighten the mood.
"Yeah, why?" he asked, his back straight and his gaze fixed on me.
I describe everything to him, including the handwriting, the paper's location, and the tune that the culprit whistled.
"But what could her motivation be?" he wonders, puzzled.
"Jeremy, he is not the father of the child," I say, looking at him to see whether he's paying attention, and he nods.
"I know I'm the baby's father," he admitted, his gaze falling to the ground.
I chuckle and punch his arms, "Crazy."
"I mean Agnese's baby," I said, seeing his face flush.
"He said he isn't the baby's father," I added, "and I saw her wallpaper and she said it's her lover and she almost lost him and it could only ment that he almost died or he almost left her."
"We're not sure," he says, puzzled, and pulls his phone from his pocket to dial a number.
"Hello Detective William's, could you look into Charlotte Barlowe's background and what her connection to Jeremy Baldwin and Agnes is?" they continued to talk, and I walked to the kitchen to get some lunch.
I returned and, after the call was through, I approached him and inquired.
"What is your plan?" I asked, as he turns to face me and embraces me.
"We need to figure out her relationship with these two and acquire additional evidence," I said as I walked into his room.
"Do you really want to do it in this time?" he asks, his face is such a tease.
"You're insane," I rolled my eyes, "I want to smell your aroma," I went inside and sat in his bed.I started thinking about it, and I'm convinced she or her partner is the culprit.

I hurried up to Alessander and kissed him in the chicks as he returned from his friend with a folder.
"What is it? Is that her background?" I inquire, my gaze falling on the folder.
"Yes," he said as he handed me the folder, which I quickly opened.
I read the articles and I was correct: Agnes and Charlotte boyfriend are having a 'thing,' and her boyfriend impregnant.
"I knew it," I said, "so what's the plan?"
"Like I said, acquire some evidence," he added as he walked out, his hair brushed.
"You're no longer a prosecutor because of this, and getting some evidence is impossible...," I said, pausing as I remembered she had invited me to dinner.
"Unless I ask her to supper and we can let you know, in which case you can seize her notebook and phone," she says.
He shook his head, "That's risky."
