-Athena-

-Two Days Later-

When I arrived at Envoyé Du Ciel, the small café in which Kristine worked at, I had to calm myself down. My mood was all over the place and I had thrown up at least four times before leaving the apartment. Though Louis urged me to stay home, I wanted to get this meeting done and over with.

I walked into the small café and pushed my sunglasses up on top of my head. I looked around the room, trying to find Niall's ex. Only downside was I didn't know what she looked like. So, I waked up to the lady behind the counter, hoping she knew who I was looking for. "Bonjour! How may I help you today?" She said, a wide smile on her face. She was beautiful; tan skin, wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes, and she looked older than me by a few years.

Maybe she was who I was looking for.

"I'm actually looking for Kristine Scott." I replied, leaning against the counter. She sighed, placing her hands on her hips and staring at the register.

"You must be Athena Tomlinson." She answered. "I was kinda expecting you'd come around at some point."

"Do you mind if I ask you a few questions? I could really use your help." I asked, my stomach starting to churn again. She nodded, as she asked an elderly woman she worked with to run the register for a few hours.

"Do you mind if we take a walk to my apartment? I rather not talk about him in public." She said. It was my turn to nod, as we exited the café and walked five minutes down the street to a small apartment complex. As we walked up to her apartment, the sound of a violin being played filled the hallway.

Once we were in her apartment, she excused herself and disappeared down a hallway, where a door was heard opening and the beautiful violin music had stopped. "Sorry about that." Kristine said, as she grabbed a bottle of water out of her fridge and handed it to me. I thanked her, before looking at her and sighing. "So, you're the one who killed him?"

"I fought him, but I didn't kill him." I stated.

"As much as I still love that man, he's a damn fool. His mistakes finally caught up to him and he paid the price for it." She began, taking a sip of her water. "He always talked about wanting to take over the world, I just didn't believe he'd actually succeed."

"Take over the world?" I questioned, crossing my legs and staring at her with a confused look. "He wanted to take over the world?"

"Absolutely. He wrote about it all the time in his journal. He would predict when it was going to happen and what he was going to do when a certain events come. I looked at it recently and everything has been correct, scarily." She explained, running her fingers through her hair.

Maybe his journal will help. Maybe seeing Kristine was a positive. "May I see the journal?" I asked, as her eyes closed slowly. "I won't keep it, I promise." I added, as she opened her eyes and sighed, nodding her head.

"Arielle!" Kristine hollered, before the string music silenced and a door creaked open. Soon enough, a little girl, no older than seven, appeared in the living room. Wavy brunette hair was up in a small pony tail, as her eyes were in resemblance to the ocean. "May you grab daddy's journal for me?" She added, before the little girl nodded and vanished down the hallway.

"She's a beauty." I told Kristine, my emotions starting to go all outta whack. Which was strange, because I was content before. Now, I want to cry.

"She's Niall in many ways than one. Other then a lot of her features, she is musically gifted and quite humorous. But she's quiet, and she gets that from me." I looked up and saw Arielle behind her mother, a tattered green book in her hands. "Thank you, lovely." Kristine said, once she grabbed the book from her daughter's hands. "Ari, this is Athena."
