-Louis-

"Don't cry, little one." I heard a familiar voice say, a baby crying close by. I opened my eyes slowly, my surroundings unrecognizable. I sat up and looked at the clock beside me, the digital numbers telling me it was 3:15 AM. Why was I awake this early?

I scratched my right arm, a sting appear as soon as I touched it. I looked down at my arm, only to find three letters freshly tattooed on it. I flipped on the light beside me, and examined it closely.

F.L.T

What the hell?

I jumped out of the bed and walked out the door, only to find myself in a large hallway. I looked around, my eyes scanning the area for something familiar. Where was I? Was the war all a hallucination?

I followed the sound of the muffled crying, turning into a room that was painted a dark green, only to find Athena rocking a baby slowly in her arms. Wait- did she already have the baby? Was I dreaming?

Was I even alive?

"Go back to bed, babe," Athena whispered to me, a tired smile on her face. "I'm just gonna put him back to sleep and then I'll be back." Him? I have a son? When did this even happen?

I nodded my head slowly, although I was very confused as to what was going on, and walked out of the room and towards my room. Once there, I walked in, I shuffled into the bathroom that was attached and turned on the sink, splashing water onto my face. I looked up, I wasn't looking into a mirror.

I was on top of the Empire State Building, the sky around me blood red and the wind blowing violently. I looked down at the ground, my blue suit on my body and blood splattered on it. Why was I up here? Where was Athena? What was going on?

A loud scream interrupted my thoughts, my conscience instantly telling me it was Athena. I ran in the direction of the scream at full speed, only to find Athena being held hostage by Zayn, a gun pressed to her head. "Let her go, Zayn!"

"Now, what's the fun in that?" He laughed, as Athena squirmed in his grasp. "I could end this all right now. I could make you watch your precious wife bleed."

"Let her go," I told him sternly. "Kill me, not her." He looked at Athena for a moment, her eyes locked on mine, as tears were streaming down her face. "F***ing kill me and let her live, please!" I pleaded. Zayn's expression changed, as he lowered the gun and held Athena out for me to grab. I inched towards them, trying my best to go slow, just in case he would pulled something. Just as I reached her, he laughed manically, pushing her off the 102 story skyscraper, her screams the only thing audible. "NO!"-

"Louis! Wake up!" I heard someone yell, as they shook my body violently.

"It's just a dream, Louis! You've gotta wake up, mate!"

"Athena!" I screamed, before my body shot straight up, another scream coming from me. I looked around, my chest heaving rapidly, as Liam and Harry were on both sides of me. "What-"

"You were having a nightmare, mate." Liam told me. "We heard you screaming and came running."

"You were mumbling things under your breath and kept calling out for Athena." Harry explained. "You were thrashing around and we got really worried."

I ran my hands over my face and sighed, falling backwards onto the ground. "It felt so real." I mumbled, before touching the ground below me, a sandy feeling on my fingertips. "Where are we anyways?"

"You were knocked unconscious when the plane crashed. Luckily, we found a life boat and was able to paddle towards the nearest land we could find. You don't have any broken, but you do have a-"

"I need to find Athena. I promised her I'd find her." I interrupted, standing up from the sand quickly, becoming extremely lightheaded and nauseous. Liam caught me as I fell backwards, my body feeling limp.

"You can't go anywhere until you're well enough to stand up without having the urge to vomit." Harry said.

I chuckled softly, as Liam slowly set me back onto the sand. "Are you saying this as a friend, or Doctor Styles?" I asked, causing Harry to chuckle.

"I'm telling you as a friend and Doctor." He replied, as Liam wrapped an arm around him. I shook my head slowly, hating myself for even separating Athena and myself. Why did I force her off the plane in the first place? "You need to sleep. We'll start the search at dawn."

"She's going to be okay, mate, I promise." Liam told me, before the two laid in the sand, their backs facing me. I stared at them for a while, before I laid down, my hands under my head for support.

Somewhere, Athena is looking up at the same sky and watching the stars shine and shimmer like I was. Hopefully, that meant she was safe. And hopefully, that means I'll be able to see her soon.

Sorry for the scare! I know this was short, but I'm working on Athena's POV now. So, hopefully that'll make up for it!
