although this is shorter than y'all would probably like, I'm kinda hoping for a huge reaction at the end of this. You'll see why soon x

-Athena-

Once Zayn tied mom and I together back to back, he moved away and laughed, crossing his arms in satisfaction. "What are both your husbands going to say when they find you both dead?" He asked with a smirk. Mom wasn't going to argue with him, but just like me, she can't seem to stay quiet.

"You're a sadistic bastard." Mom hissed, Zayn shrugging at the insult. Once he walked away, mom sighed deeply, shaking her head slowly.

"I'm sorry, mom." I said, leaning my head back against hers, my eyes closed. "I should've known to protect myself better-"

"Athena-"

"-I never wanted to become the damsel that always needed rescuing. I always wanted to be able to save myself-"

"Athena Taylor-"

"-You raised me to be stronger than this!" I sobbed, my face down towards my lap. "You-" I choked, the words refusing to flow. I don't know if I was having a mood swing because of the pregnancy, or if I just couldn't take it anymore.

All I knew was that I was done.

"Baby girl, don't cry." Mom cooed, her voice almost as fragile as mine. "You don't realize how strong you are." She added, her hand that was tied behind her back grazing mine. "We're gonna get out of this and you're going to save everything. You won't be the damsel-"

"Why are you crying?!" Jade snapped at me, her face directly in mine. "Suck it up!" She added, before her hand connected with my cheek, causing a massive stinging to course through my body. Mom tried to get to Jade, the ropes restraint her from doing so. I looked up at the girl in front of me and glared, a wicked smile on her face.

"Yo, bitch!" I heard someone shout. "That's my baby sister. You might wanna back the hell up." Glancing over my shoulder, I find Josie, her hands on her hips and eyes focused on Jade. "Back away. Now."

Jade laughed manically, causing Josie to walk up to Jade, who was standing in front of me. "You're cute thinking you're stronger than me."

"You're cute thinking that you look cute." Josie replied, tilting her head sideways with a fake pout. "Now, untie my mother and sister and I won't have to hurt you."

Just as Jade went to reply, I glanced over my shoulder, Liam, Harry, and Louis slowly approaching us, my dad already attempting to cut the ropes. I took a massive sigh of relief and looked ahead. He was alive and safe. That's all I could ask for.

-Louis-

"Hide, dammit!" Logan hissed, as Harry, Liam, and myself shoved ourselves inside - yet another - closet.

"You know, I'm getting really f***ing tired of this." I snapped, as we heard footsteps storm past us. "Oh yes, let's have four fully grown men - who are supposed to be heroes, if I may add - hide in a closet from Zayn Malik and his team. That makes total sense!"

"You mean three grown men and a man child, right? Because the way I see it, you still got some growing to do, Tomlinson." Logan replied, as Liam and Harry tried not to make a sound.

"I would comment, but I'm trying to save my wife and child's life right now." I whispered, before I opened the door and saw that the coast was clear. Once we were out of our hiding spot, we quickly made our way down the long corridor and up another flight of stairs. Josie and Natalie were both ahead of us, which is odd because we were all supposed to stay together.

Once we reached the last few steps before reaching the observation deck, I stopped in my tracks at the sound of Josie yelling at someone. "Yo, bitch! That's my baby sister. You might wanna back the hell up."

"Well, Josie is starting something. Nothing new there" Liam sighed, shoving past me and walking over to the large metal door that led outside. "Once we get passed this door, who knows what's going to happen next. So if you have anything you want to say, now is your chance."

"We don't have time-"

"Liam and Harry, thank you for standing beside me and being not only best mates, but brother figures. I really appreciate it." I said, smiling at them. They both smiled back, before I turned and looked at Logan. "Thank you, as well."

"Why you thanking me?"

"Because you gave me Athena." Logan's features soften, a small grin forming on his face. "Without her, I don't know where I'd be." I added, before he patted my back gently and sighed. Logan and I might not get along as well as we should, but we can find a common ground. "Right, let's go save the girls." I stated, before we all tiptoed out the metal door and onto the observation deck.

Natalie and Athena were tied together back to back, while Josie was busy with Jade. Natalie looked unharmed, while Athena appeared to have cuts on her arms and burns from the ropes. My heart sunk.

My mother-in-law was the first to see us, a smile forming on her face as Logan ran up to them. Just as he reached them, Athena glanced over her shoulder and sighed in relief. "I'm going to cut the ropes." Logan whispered to them. "Just stay-"

Before he could finish, he was pushed away from the girls and slammed against metal door, knocking Liam, Harry, and myself over in the process. "I can't have you saving their lives! Especially little Athena here." Jesy laughed as she appeared on top of the air conditioning unit. Josie turned around and looked to see what had happened, only for her body to tense up, the color of her eyes getting darker.

"Josie," Logan said, once he rose to his feet. He walked towards a bit, stopping in his tracks in front of Athena. "Josephine, what is-"

"You are worthless." She said in a monotone voice, her eyes locked on her dad dead on. "You are a terrible father and human." She continued, as I cautiously crawled over to Athena and my mother-in-law and untied them. "You are and will never be anything to me."

"Jo," Liam walked right up and stood in front of her. "What is going-" Just like that, Josie raised her hand up at Liam was launched to the other side of the building, his back being slammed hard against the ledge of the building, her action catching him completely off guard.

"Liam!" Harry yelled, running over to his fiancé and rolling him off his stomach and onto his back.

But he didn't respond, or move.
