Wooderson and Melvin were still playing pool. Pink was watching them and me and Mitch were talking. "Hey man, you think you can run up to that centennial over there and pick me up a sixer of this stuff?" Melvin held out 7 bucks. "Uh, yeah. Sure." Mitch took the money and shoved it into his front pocket. "Oh, I'll come with you. I got to get more cigs." I said jumping off the stool I was sitting on. "Good luck." Wooderson taunted. When we walked in there was a pregnant women, checking out, and smoking. "Remember to eat a green thing everyday. You need to eat lots of calcium. Its very important for you mothers to eat lots of calcium." The cashier handed her, her bag, "See you tomorrow night." "Bye." She waved and left. Mitch put the sixer on the counter and a beef stick. "What kind of cigs you smoke again, baby?" Mitch looked over at me. I was very caught off guard by what he had said. "Uh. Camels." "And a pack of Camels too, please." Mitch told the cashier. "So, how are you two doing this evening?" Putting the cigs on the counter and ringing everything up. "Pretty good." Mitch said and smiled over at me. "Hows it going with you?" "It'll be going a lot better when I get off in a couple hours." The cashier started bagging the stuff up. "Oh yeah. I hear that." Mitch pulled the money out of his pocket and put it on the counter. I had to stop myself from laughing at him. "Say you two are eighteen, right?" The cashier asked, looking up at both of us. "Oh, yeah. We just graduated." Mitch looked over at me. "Graduated. Congratulation. Is this the misses?" The cashier pointed at me. "Oh, yeah." Mitch put his arm around me and pulled me closer. I smiled at the cashier. "So, you two off to college in the fall?" The cashier took the money. "She is. But, I'm working right now, for the city. I' thinking off holding on to the job for awhile, cause you now, its money in my pocket." Mitch shrugged. "Yeah, I hear that. Hears some more money for your pocket." The cashier handed him the change. "What are you going to college for?" The cashier asked me. Mitch put the change in his pocket and grabbed the bag. "Oh, accounting." I lied. The cashier nodded his head, "Well, you tow have a real nice night." "Thanks. You two man." Mitch held the door for me. "Hey, take it easy." Mitch called out and followed me out. I turned around, "That was a good plan. Maybe I need to get you to buy me beer and cigs more often." I smiled. "I'm surprised he actually believed us. Is accounting really what you want to go to school for?" Mitch pulled out the cigs and handed to me. "No, I'm not really sure I want to go to college for or if I even want to got to college at all." I started opening the cigs.  Then Mitch's friends came walking around the corner. They started talking but I wasn't really listening. I pulled a cig out and lit it. Mitch's friend, Hershfielder was looking at me. 'You want one?" I held out my pack. He shook his head no. "You're the one that just got busted right?" I asked. He nodded. "Sorry, man. Was it O'Bannion?" "Yeah." he nodded. "Got I hate that guy." I looked over a Mitch. I could see a light bulb go up over his head. "Do you guys want to get him back?" Mitch looked at all of us. "Hell yeah." We all said. Mitch told us the plan. Carl and them left do get their part ready. me and Mitch headed back to the Empourium. "Thanks, man." Melvin said, taking the beer out of the bag. "Oh, here's your change man." Mitch started pulling out the money. "Ah, no worries man." Melvin started giving out beers. "Want a beer man?" Melvin held one out to Mitch. "yeah." "Here you go Erin." Melvin hand me a beer. Wooderson started talking about a party at the moon tower and went to collect money for the kegs. Mitch went over to Julie to tell her about our plan. I went over to be with Benny again, who was still playing pool, but now with some random people. Mitch went over to the door to tell Carl and the guys to get ready. Julie and her friend were walking by O'Bannion, "Hey, did you hear they're busting Carl Burnett out back?" Julie lied to her friend. "Wait, what you say?" O'Bannion grabbed her arm. "About what?" "About Carl Burnett. What about him?" O'Bannion was getting excited. "I just heard he's getting busted. I don't know." Julie shrugged and walked off. O'Bannion put his pool stick down, "Benny, they got Burnett out back." "Carl Burnett." Benny questioned. "Yeah, they got him out back. Let's go." O'Bannion already had his paddle ready and in hand. " Just give me two, three minutes to make this shot." "Alright, alright." O'Bannion ran out to the parking lot. "Hey, you hold him for me." Benny called out. I jumped of the pool table and went and gave Benny a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back." I wasn't about to miss O'Bannion getting what he truly deserves. When I got out there, O'Bannion was going on this spiel about how Carl should have known that he was going to find him. He was winding up his paddle when a little bit of white fell on him. "What the fuck?" O'Bannion looked up at Tommy and Hershfielder. Carl ran off down the street. "Remember me you pig?!" Hersh yelled out. Both Tommy and Hersh started yoinking and poured all the white paint down on O'Bannion. Everyone that was watching, just stood there, in shock. You could just see the flame in O'Bannion's eyes, from how mad he was. he made his way back across the street, groaning. Me and Mitch were smiling. He say Mitch smiling and came up and pushed him back. I grabbed onto Mitch, to stop him from falling. "What are you smiling at, freshman faggot?" O'Bannion went out to the road, by his car. "Fuck all of you. Fuck you." O'Bannion was jumping and screaming. He smashed his paddle on the road. "God Damnit!" He threw the handle and got in his car. he drove forward through the grass very mad. "Christ Jesus!" He yelled out when he drove on the road. I think that was the best thing that I had seen all night.
