Shadow and Knuckles finally get together after Sonic's party. Yet when they wake up two weeks later the world they knew has been over run by the dead. Will they survive?

How did our world come to this? It was so peaceful one day then the next chaos. A disease turned deadly. Not just because it kills you but it brings you back..... as a soulless monster that feeds on flesh and blood. We watch a young boy being ripped open as these monsters who were once living people devour his organs while he was still screaming. His screams soon stop once they rip out his lungs and tear open his neck with their bloody teeth. Tears fall from our eyes as we move on. I remember pulling out a sharpened pole and stab one of the monsters in the head and it goes down. Shadow places a small flower he found over the body as we continue down the alley.
3 weeks earlier
"Hey guys!" Sonic said walking up. "Hey Sonic your more giddy than usual" I smirked. "I'm just excited because I'm hosting a pool party at my new place" Sonic smiled. "Pool party? I thought you can't swim?" Shadow said confused. "Amy has been giving me lessons and I can swim now also I finally asked her out" "Wow that's great bro." I smiled very proud of him. "Anyways here's the invite. The part is this Saturday bring your own alcohol if ya like" "sounds fun can't wait man." "Awesome! Anyways guys I'm meeting up with Amy so I'll see ya!" He waved and speeds off. "About time he asked her" shadow said. "Right" I agreed.
I walk into my home after a long day and decided to pop open a beer and relax on my couch. I reach for the remote and turn on my tv. As I look through the guide my phone starts to ring. "Hello?" I said still looking through the tv channels for something to watch. "Yo knux its Luigi did you get the invitation to Sonic's party?" "Yeah I did are you going?" "Fuck yeah. Listen another reason I was calling is because Tails and I wanted to see if you wanted to meet up tonight for a game of poker or something." "Yeah right and have my ass kicked by you two I'll pass" I laugh. "But honestly I appreciate the invite but I'm exhausted me and shadow spent all day fixing up his SUV." I said. "Ok man maybe some other time?" "Sounds good" "alright see ya man" "see ya" I hang up and finally found something to watch.
Few days later at the pool party
I pull up to the address and was impressed by Sonic's new place.

"Damn sonic never expected you to like something this fancy" I thought walking up to the door. "KNUX YOU MADE IT!" Sonic smile and drags me in. "Thought you be in the pool man?" I asked. "Not until all my guest arrived like a good host should now go have fun!" He said taking my pack of beer and pushes me outside. "Have fun!" He said. "See he did the same to you huh?" Shadow laughed. "Yeah he did" I laugh with him and blush a bit. He smiles at me and we walk over to talk to some of our friends.
20 mins later
"Have you guys heard of a new virus in California?" Cream said sipping on a cherry cocktail. "No we haven't is it serious?" Mario asked. "As far as we know from the first case patient is just experiencing a high fever, body aches and dehydration. Other than that that's all the information we have." She said. "That's odd could it be another strain or flu?" I asked. "Honestly we could be looking at a new type of illness." She said. "Huh wow..." Tails said. "Well is it something we might have to- HEY WHAT THE FU-"
Splash!
"SONIC!" Shadow yelled. "Hahahahahaha gotcha Shadz" sonic laughs. Shadow couldn't help but laugh as well and splash water on sonic. The rest of the gang joins them in the pool. The day continues to be full of laughter until it started to get dark. They all get dry and change into their casual clothes to play a game as they enjoy the food sonic ordered. "We are not playing strip poker Rouge" shadow growled. "Awwww what's a matter shadow afraid to see a certain someone naked?~" she winks as shadow rolls his eyes. "How about we start with something simple to warm everyone up" Daisy suggested. "Like spin the bottle~" Sonic winked. "You can pass on who ever it lands on but you would have to do a dare made by the person the bottle lands on." He smirked. "Ok that's a fun twists I'm in" peach smiled. "I guess I'm playing too" I said it is pretty interesting. "Hey Knuckles how about you go first" "Ok" I shrugged as we all sat in a circle. I spin the bottle and it lands on Rouge. "tch... Pass" I smirked. "Ok wise guy then I dare you to remove your shirt and keep it off the rest of the game" "seriously?" "Ether that or kiss me red" she winked. I roll my eyes and remove my shirt. "Happy" "very~" she purred and spins the bottle which lands on Luigi. "Come here boy" she gives him a quick peck once she finds his lips. "Daisy how do you kiss this man with this mustache in the way" she asked. "That's for me to know~" she smirked and we laugh. The game continues and so far Amy and peach have best kiss of the night. Cream spins and it lands on me which I been pretty lucky only been chosen twice. "I'll pass" she laughs and I laugh too. "What's my dare Knux?" "I dare you to spend 7 mins in the closet with tails." I smirked and tails blushes. "Ok come on tails." She grabs his arm and they head to the coat closet. Sonic sets a timer for them and sits back down. "Ok knuckles spin" he smiles and I spin the bottle. My heart starts to race and my face warming up when it stops.
