I wake up in the cabin to the sound of tearing flesh and look out the boarded window seeing three monsters devour a harmless deer. Shadow starts to stir and I cup his mouth placing my finger over his mouth. We waited until the monsters leave. We pack up after catching some fish nearby for our breakfast and continue walking.
1 week before the end
I walk in to my house and remove my mask and protective glasses. The store was packed since their is to be a shortage of a few things. I put my non perishables in a emergency kit that I do keep in my closet. Shadow had invited me over to his place this Friday and something told me to bring my emergency kit with me. I get a call from my dad who was in tears saying that Mace was dying and that this new virus was deadly. I remember crying on my bed once my father and I hung up the phones. I couldn't believe my brother is dying from this illness. I called tails and asked if cream was home. He told me she hasn't been home since yesterday since they gotten swamped with people infected by the virus. He also said some of them were bitten by the infected and that we need to be more careful. I agreed and told him I'll see him later. He told me ok and hung up. That was the last words he ever said to me.
The next day I tried calling tails until I got a text from cream saying tails was in the hospital and he along with Blaze was infected with the virus. My heart dropped because now two of my friends are in the hospital sick from the deadly virus that's been killing people. I hung up the phone and cried knowing I was gonna loose tails and Blaze.
