I sat in front of the vanity as I applied my makeup. I was tired from rehearsing for my auditions, but money had to be made.
I'm sorry, let me formally introduce myself.
My name is Jehari Noelle Wilson. I'm a twenty year old, chocolate skin, five foot three woman. I aspire to be a professional ballet dancer. I've loved ballet since my mom took me to see the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater when I was four.
"Chocolate, you go on in five." I nodded at Lena who was the club manager.
Fixing my hair, I stood up and examined my outfit. The black leather bra made my size 32 B breasts sit perfectly. I fixed the matching mini skirt and slipped on my black pumps.
"You on Chocolate." Lena yelled from behind the curtain.
I walked past a few girls and they started insulting me.
"She think she cute."
"That bitch ain't pretty."
"Ol ugly dark skin bitch."
I put my head down and walked out of the dressing room. I qued DJ Sweets and she started Songs on 12 Play.
Slowly stepping on the stage, I grinded my body as men threw money and called out to me.
My body moved seductively as the music flowed through the speakers. I let the beat and lyrics take over every inch of me as I tried to block out the men.
"Damn ma!"
"Aye, you tryna come home with me?"
"Mmm, I love me some Chocolate!"
I danced through another song before finally stepping off of the stage. I was tired, but work was far from over.
As I walked to the bar, someone grabbed my wrist. I turned to see a middle age white man.
"Can I have a lap dance?"
I nodded and moved in front of him. Swaying my hips, I saw him reach to touch me. I gently slapped his hands.
"No touching sweetie." I spoke into his ear.
I continued to dance for him as Trey Songz Slow Motion played throughout the club. Once the song ended, the man paid me.
"Thanks sweetheart."
I gave him a smile and made my way to the bar. The bartender smiled at me and put up his finger. Walking over to me, he gave me a hug.
"Hey boo!" JoJo said in his high pitched voice.
"Hey JoJo. How you doin?"
"Good. How Miss Rosie doin?"
"She's okay." I sighed.
"You know you can do better than this place right?" JoJo touched my shoulder.
"Yeah, but Mama medical bills are piling up."
"I understand baby girl."
I asked JoJo the time and he told me it was four in the morning. I went back to the dressing room and changed into a pair of gray sweat pants and a white tee. Slipping on my white Nike's, I pulled my hair into a bun.
I got looks from the other girls, but ignored it. Walking out, the club lights and the music was off indicating that Club Seduction was now closed.
I went outside and over to my car as guys called out to me. Ignoring them, I got in my car and left.
I arrived at my apartment twenty minutes later. Going inside, I dropped my bag on the couch and went to the kitchen. I got a bottle of water and went to get my bag.
