Romeo
I had a game today and I wished Jehari was here. Her visits started already and so far, she's been doing good.
I bowed my head and said a silent prayer. I looked up to see Ty standing next to me and I nodded.
"How Jehari man?" He asked.
"She good so far."
"Let her know she in my heart aight?"
"Always bruh. Now let's go win this game."
"Real talk playboy."
We shook hands and I put on my gloves and grabbed my helmet.
Going out onto the field, I went to the huddle.
"Alright boys, this game determines if we go to the Super Bowl. Do your best. Falcons on three. One! Two! Three!"
"Falcons!"
I put my helmet on and ran to center field.
*twelve minutes later*
So far, we were winning. Ty threw the ball to me from the far end of the field and I jumped for it.
As I caught the ball, I got tackled by three guys. My ankle felt like it was injured and I laid on the ground, holding it.
A hand reached out to me and I stood up, limping to the sidelines. Coach sat me on the bench and I placed an ice pack on my ankle.
I looked at the scoreboard and saw that the New England Patriots were gaining points left and right.
Nope, not today.
"Aye coach! Put me back in mane."
I stood up and limped over to him.
"You sure Montana?"
"Look, you got a triple threat on this team. Me, Neal, and Kyle. Without me, there's no triple threat. Kyle got a mean throw, Neal have the niggas on they back, and I take the ball to the end zone and get that touchdown. Look at that board." I pointed up at the scoreboard. We were losing by seven points now.
"You only have ten minutes left."
"That's all I need."
Coach called a timeout and put me back in the game.
And we gave the Patriots hell.
I made that final touchdown and hit a backflip, landing on my ankle. It twisted and I knew for sure it was sprained.
Shit!

I gasped when I saw Romeo grip his ankle. Everyone was sitting in the recreation room watching the game that would determine if the Falcon's went to the championship.
They won, but Romeo got hurt. Ty and another player helped him up and walked him off of the field. After the game went off, Lyfe sat next to me.
"That kid loves you. I see it in his eyes everytime he visits."
"I love him too."
"I know. Now you both have to heal. Let me ask you something."
I gave him my full attention and he studied me for awhile before speaking.
"What is your deepest fear?"
"Losing someone I love."
"So you were scared when your mother died?"
