Omniscient
Romeo woke up at around eight in the morning to find the perfect rehab center for Jehari.
By eight forty five, Talbott Recovery Center in Columbus, Georgia were awaiting Jehari's arrival.
Romeo woke her up and made breakfast for her while she got dressed. They now sat in the car at nine fifty, waiting for ten fifteen to hit so she could be checked in.
"Baby, promise me something." Romeo turned to her.
"Okay."
"Promise me that no matter how hard it gets, you won't give up. Fight your addiction just like Mama fought cancer. And I promise to be there for you no matter what." He took her hands in his.
"I promise."
Romeo smiled and stepped out of his Audi, going to her side. He helped her out and grabbed her suitcase.
Together, they walked hand in hand into the rehab facility.
"I'm here to check Jehari Wilson in." Romeo informed the lady behind the desk.
"We've been expecting you. I'm the director Alana Kenny." The lady smiled as she stood up.
She gave them a tour and showed them Jehari's living quarters for the next four months.
When the tour was over, Alana informed the couple that Romeo would not be able to see or contact Jehari for three weeks. She gave them a half hour to say their good byes.
"I love you Jehari. I know you can make it through. Pray every chance you get, okay?"
"Yeah. I love you too."
"See ya soon my chocolate unicorn." Romeo licked her cheek, earning a soft laugh.
"See ya soon light bright."
Romeo hugged Jehari once more before pecking her lips. Walking out, he prayed that God would watch over her.
-----------------------------------------------Jehari sat on her twin bed quietly, not having anything to say.
"Hey newbie."
She looked up to see a light skin woman walk into the room.
"I'm Tanya. You are?"
"Jehari."
"Oh okay. Nice to meet you. Y'know the rules?"
Jehari nodded as a bell rung.
"Group time. C'mon."
Jehari followed Tanya out of their room and into another room where eight more people sat.
They took the last two seats that were in the circle and got to know each other.
"Settle down, settle down."
She looked up to see Mr. Lyfe Jennings himself standing in the middle of the circle.
"I'm Lyfe. I will be your music counselor and I also heard that we have a new kid. Raise your hand."
Jehari raised her hand and he looked at her.
"Stand up."
She complied and stood to her feet, not liking the attention.
"Name, age, and addiction?"
"Jehari Wilson, twenty one, and cocaine and alcohol."
"Have a seat."
Lyfe looked around the room and put his attention back on Jehari.
"Everyone, group is canceled. Jehari follow me."
Jehari followed him outside and he crossed his arms.
"You're a baby, you know that? Why do you do drugs huh? Don't answer, just think."
Jehari gave a confused look, not knowing that this would be an ongoing process.
Everyday, Lyfe said the same thing. And everyday, Jehari would think harder.
This is rehab....
I didn't like this chapter. I'm trying to make them longer, so bare with me. Thanks for the support! Lyfe in the MM.
