Erin and Jay talked with the suspect while I was talking to Voight about Summers birthday party. "Come on Voight, she would love it if you let her have it here. Plus, maybe we could show her what it's like to have our job." I tell him. "Fine." He finally gave in. "Michael Ganz, lives east of Garfield Park, has a record: robbery, possession. Runs with a small crew." Erin says as I walk out of his office. "Claire's Ex-boyfriend checks out right down to the 500 bucks." Jay tells her. "Got a ping on Ganz's phone, pulled all the numbers he's called in the last 24 hours." Jin tells us. "Employee of the week, Jin, right here." Jay says and I roll my eyes. "All the calls were to the same numbers, a cell phone registered to Lucky M Pawn and Loan in Gage Park." "Lucky M. I know that ding dong. We'll go talk to him. Come on." O tells Dawson. "Ava, can you come with me." Jay gave me a pleading look and I knew he was going to see Ben's parents. "Of course." I tell him. I knocked on the door and a lady answered and hugged us both. "Hey, Danny." Jay says as we walk in. "Hi, Jay. Ava." I give him a sad smile as Jay hands them their food. "Let me get you two a sandwich." "We can't got to run." Jay tells him. "Oh, well let me at least give you a slice of cake to go." Danny stood up and sighed before leaving. "This is always a tough day for him. He won't eat it. I just end up throwing it out." "Small slice." I tell her with a small smile. We walked out of the car, and I noticed Jay looking up at a window, so I looked and saw the guy that killed Ben. "Jay, let's just go." I tell my brother but he ignored me and I sighed as a police car drove up. "Can I see your driver's licenses?" He asks us and we showed him our badges. "Halsteads, intelligence." I tell the officer. "This is harassment." A fat old man says walking out of the house. "Just eating some birthday cake." Jay tells him. "Today would have been a birthday." "Arrest them." The fat man tells the officer. "Get them out of here." "Sorry, Pal." The officer tells him. "All you dirty bastard stick together. You always have." "Seven years ago today, Lonnie. Today." Jay tells the man. "Get out of here!" "Seven years! He would have been 15!" Jay yells. "I'm gonna call my lawyer. I'm getting a restraining order." "I'm gonna give you a reason to need one one day." Jay yells. "Come on, let's go." "You and your sick ass son." Jay yells before I push him in the car. "Just like Christmas morning." O says and I grab my gun and entered the building with everyone. As soon as we enter guns fired. I was feeling a little pain in my side. I looked down and saw the blood seeping through my shirt. I was trying to ignore it when Erin noticed. "Are you ok, Ava?" She asks. "Yeah." I tell her and she gives me a look. "I think I was shot." I tell her just as I become light head and fell to the ground. "A little help!" Erin yells but she sounded like she was in a tunnel. "Halstead." Voights voice was the same way. "I need an ambulance at...." Jay's voice started to fade, and my vision became dark. I opened my eyes to see my brother sitting by my hospital bed. "Jay." "Oh, thank god." Jay says. "You can't get rid of me that easily." I tell him. Summer ran in and hugged me. I was finally back at work after being gone for a few days. "Halstead!" Platt calls me over. "Sup?" I ask her. "How you feeling?" "Better." I tell her and walk upstairs. Voight and Jay made me stay at the precinct on desk duty. I was board out of my mind just sitting in the office, so I texted Voight and told him that I was heading home. The next day Voight called me saying he needed my help so he was taking me of desk duty. He texted me an address to a local college and I met up with the team. We entered the dorms and made out way to the girls that were being used as drug mules. "Looking for two white males could still be in the area, they got our girls." Voight tells us over the walkie thats when Dawson and I hear screams. We ran into the parking garage as an engine started and a van came speeding at us. Dawson grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the way we were un able to catch them. "The Collins brothers are known thugs from Bridgeport. Both have charges for armed robbery and aggravated battery." Voight tells us. "So, they graduated to drug smuggling using naive college girls." Jay says. "Had uniforms check their LKAs. These guys are in the wind." Erin tells us. "DMV came back that Brendan Collins owns a black Ford van." Dawson tells us. "I'm assuming that these brothers are using throwaway phones now that they know Amber's been arrested." Jin tells us. "All right, keep digging. Get me any known associates." Voight tells us. A little bit later we were following the van into an alley "Got a visual on Brendan Collins." Jay tells us over the walkie. "Van's on the move, heading north in 76th." Now it was my turn to chase the bad guys. "Let's box him in." Voight tells us. The van swerved into an oncoming truck. Collins was sent through the window killing him. Erin and Voight opened the van only to find there girls weren't there. Voight came up the stairs telling everyone to get ready because he got a lead on our suspect.
