"Ava." Hank says from the doorway. "Hey." I smile. "How are you doing?" He asks. "I'm not dead so I would say ok." I tell him. "How many times have you been shot?" He asks. "Twice." I tell him. "Rest up." He tells me before leaving. "Jay, Find him." I tell him before I fell back asleep because of the meds. "How you doing Ava?" Jay asks entering the room the next night. "Board." I tell him. "You never seem to lose that since of humor." "Because I'd turn out like you, boring ." I tell him and he laughed. "Hey I have to leave real quick but I'll be back." He tells me. "Did you catch him?" I ask. "We did." He tells me and I smile as he leaves. Antonio and I happened to arrive at 21 at the same time a few day's later. Everyone started clapping and whistling as we entered the bullpen. "There they are." Jay says as we enter. "Hey, man what the hell you two doing back so soon, huh?" Alvin asks. "Oh, guys. You sound like my wife." Antonio tells them. "Listen, we got you a little "welcome back, glad you're not dead" gift." Jay tells us. "Don't say we didn't ever do anything for you." Adam says as he pushes a walker into view. "Oh. Oh. That's hilarious." Antonio says as I laugh. "Come here, a little closer. His idea." Adam tells us and Antonio pretends to fight my brother. "Oh, you want some of this? Yeah? Come on." Jay taunts." It was my idea." Alvin says. "I didn't think so." Jay says as Antonio backed off because of the pain. When he did back away I smiled and walked over to Jay to flick his noes. "Be glad your my sister." Jay says giving me a taunting look as I stick my tongue out at him. "All right, we're rolling out... five minutes. We just caught a heater. Glad you're back, you two." Hank says as he exits his office. "Thanks. Hey, do me a favor. Just work the desk for a few days. I don't want you two dropping on me." Voight tells us. "I'm fine. I'm suiting up." Antonio tells him. "Antonio, I'm not gonna argue with you about this." Voight tells us. "All right." Antonio says. "But the doctor told me I could return to my normal work activities." I whine. "Desk." Hank tells me. "Fine." I pout and sit at my desk. "Hey, Halstead I'll be back." Antonio tells me and I nod. "Hey Antonio, back yet?" Erin asks as she sits at her desk and we hear a whistle we look up to see him and Erin's friend Nadia. "It would seem so." I tell her. I took Dagger with me to get coffee. "Here's some bacon for the dogs service." The waiter tells me. "Thanks." I when back to the station and gave Dagger the bacon. I didn't really pay attention as the team was going over everything because I never really good with paying attention. I was in the locker room when Jay entered. "Ava?" He stops me. "What's up?" I ask him. "I want the full story what did dad do to you?" He asked. "Jay we've talked about this before, I don't want to talk about it." I tell him. "Why?" He raises his voice. "Because I don't want to ruin the already crappy relationship you have with our father." I tell him. "Now drop it." I walked away and met up with the rest of the team. Antonio told us the plan as Voight entered. "Hey. We all go home tonight." He tells us. I was tailing Voight and Antonio when I slammed on the breaks because they had a truck T-bone them. "Popcorn. Popcorn." Adam repeats after being shot at. Jay and I grabbed guns and started firing at the get away car. "All right... We have the driver, Lee Pritchett. Worked there three months. Had a wife and two-year-old kid at home. Dead crew member, apparently we've got a lead on that." Erin tells us once we got back to 21 and a officer in uniform stepped in. "Yeah, Jeff, I knew him from my last..." "Not yet." Erin stops him. "And we've got the shooter in the armored van. I.D. and social came back bogus from the company. He started work three days ago. We have calls into the company to find out who hired him and who put him in that van today. Now." Erin finishes and the officer in uniform starts. "D.O.A.'s Jeff Gamble. He's got a sheet five feet long. Possession, domestic battery, burglary, two prior armed robberies. His cousin, Chris Gamble, is basically his partner in crime. Chris wasn't involved himself, but I'll guarantee he'll at least know what Jeff was up to." He tells us. "Well, you and Burgess go find this cousin." Voight tells them. "There's a bunny on the phone for you." Nadia tells Erin. "Uh, she in jail?" "I..." "Look at the caller I.D. if it's an 888 number, that's the jail. You're gonna get a lot of those." Erin tells her. "312?" Nadia tells her. "Take a number. I'll call her back." Erin tells her then left her desk. "Ava." Jay nods for me to follow him. "What's up?" Erin asks once we were in the locker room. "Jin sent this to me." He tells us. "What's on the drive?" I ask him. "I haven't checked it yet." He tells us. "Show it to Voight." Erin tells him. "Not until I know what's on it." He tells her and we head back into the bullpen. "Oskar Bembenek and his younger brother Jacob. Oskar's run a crime outfit for the last 25 years. Prostitution, extortion, drugs, you name it. Now Oskar never gets his hands dirty. He always subcontracts when it comes to taking people out. That's how he's lasted so long." Alvin tells us. "This murder charge, what's that about?" Adam asks. "He just had a mistress. Just wanted to break up with him. So he stabs her. 25 times. His shirt? It's got her blood on it. Now, I knew this girl. I knew this girl. Josie Martin. I was trying to turn her out as an informant against him." Alvin tells us.
