For hours after Voight kept calling me but I kept ignoring it because I really didn't want to talk to him but after about the 200th time I picked up. "What the hell do you want." I snap. "Listen, I've looked through your file and I'm surprised they let you become a cop...." "Are you calling to down grade me because if so, I'm hanging up." I tell him. "You may be a pain in the ass but you're a good cop so don't say anything to anyone and after all this is settled, we can talk about what happened when you we're a kid, I'd really like to know." Jay when to talk to Internal affairs he refused for me to come because of my panicky unstable mood. After he got back, we went to pick up Summer then went to see Antonio. Before Jay could even get out a word Antonio shoved him. "Ava, stand down." Antonio says catching my punch and wrapping my arms around my back. "Let her go." Jay yells at him. "Not till I know she's not going to punch me." Antonio tells him. "Ava, take a breath and get in the car." Jay tells me. Antonio let go of me and I got in the car. "Mom, are you ok?" Summer asks. "Yes, just really stressed out." I tell her. "You really have got to stop getting in the middle of my fights." Jay says as he gets in the car. "What are little sisters for?" After we got back to the apartment Jay, and I looked through the case file Antonio gave us. "I don't understand we watched him walk into his house." I tell him. "I know." He says as a knock came at the door. "Alivn." "Hey. I figured you might be drinking, people shouldn't be drinking alone." He tells me. "Just don't be too loud Summer's asleep." I tell him. "I'll drink with you Ava's not allowed to right now." Jay tells him. "Jay, I'm taking a shower." I call out as I head to the bathroom, I left it cracked so I could hear them talk. "Your sister I've seen her file..." Al starts but Jay but him off. "Look after our mom died me and my brother left her with our father. They never really got along a few months later after I left my father called and said that Ava got into an accident after that she was different, she spent 5 months in a ward till I got back. One night I got home, and she was gone she headed to New York to start a new life, but things got bad, and she called me told me she had a kid. And that's as much as she's told anyone." Jay tells him. In the morning I woke up to a note from Jay saying that he took Summer to school and that I was not allowed to leave the apartment. My phone rang and I answered without looking. "Hello?" "Ava, why don't you come collect your gun and badge you're no longer suspended." Voight tells me. "Who did it?" I ask. "Lonnie's dad." "You'll have to send Jay to come get me he took my car keys." I tell him. "Halstead! I need you to go pick up your sister." Voight yells at my brother. "We still need to have that chat we talked about." "Yeah whenever." I tell him. I went home that night and after getting Summer to bed I called and told Voight my story. "There's more to it." He tells me. "What?" I ask. "You know what, that's all I've told anyone and that's all I'll ever tells anyone." I tell him. "When you're ready to talk about it I'm here." He tells me and I nod. I was downstairs talking to Kim when Ruzek and Alvin walked down, Adam bumped into Kim who started acting weird as I walked over to Alvin. "Do you know what's going on between them?" I ask. "Not my department." He tells me. "Hey, we got to move." Antonio says walking downstairs with Voight. "Hey what's going on?" Alvin asks. "Massacre." He tells us and we headed out. "Alright where are we at so far?" Voight asks as we enter the bank volt to meet up with Jay and Erin. "The four guards are dead, and one guys wounded." Jay tells us. "What they get?" Voight asks. "8 million in cash. International currency shipment from Nagano, Japan, headed down to the federal reserve on Lasalle. They cleared customs fine, and the money came here to be loaded onto an armored car." Erin tells us. "Can the Survivor tell us anything?" Sumner asks. "Yeah. The one guy that's stable is Lukas Perko. He's the warehouse manager and Eric Gonzalez, head of security. "You grab him we'll talk to Perko." Voight gives orders. After getting what we need we headed back to the staion. All right, Perko's been with the company for two years. He's got no criminal record." Jay tells us. "He did have a juvey one, though. Perko and his brother Dominik got pinched at 15 on a drug conspiracy for selling meth. He had a mandatory release at 18 and stayed on the straight and narrow, but the brother kept dealing for a Croatian gang, the Two-Threes. Brother's currently serving eight years at Stateville." Erin tells us. "Okay. So they had six video cameras, which you'd think would be aces, right? But, as you can see, cameras one and two, the crew stays too far out of frame to be of any useful identification. Three and four, they stay out of frame all together. And on five, they keep their backs to the camera. And six, the one camera that they can't avoid, well, it's conveniently obscured by the gate." Jin tells us. "There's no way this isn't an inside job." I speak up for the first time. "I talked to the dicks over at Area South. One of the canvassing detectives interviewed a trucker who said that he saw a panel van fleeing the scene." Alvin tells us. "Tags?" Voight asks. "Nothing. Except he saw two of the guys remove their masks. Now, he didn't get a good look at their faces, but he said they were both Caucasian males." Alvin tells us. "So Perko lied. The old "black guys did it" defense." Voight says. "He's in the E.R. at Chicago Med." Antonio tell us. "Yeah, I'd like first crack at this one, boss." Sumner says. "You looking to prove yourself, Sumner?" Voight asks her. "I'm ready to grill him till he rolls." She tells him. "Good. Take Antonio with you." Antonio gave a look and left. Voight called me into his office after that. "What is it, Sarge?" I ask. "You've worked with K9's before, right?" He asks. "Yeah, back when I first started the job." I tell him. "Well, the commander wanted to see how a K9 would do in intelligence." "I'm not bringing a K9 into intelligence." I tell him. "You don't have much of a choice I'm afraid." He tells me. "You need to head out and pick one up." He tells me. "This is a bad Idea." I tell him. "I know." He says as I leave. "What was that about?" Jay asks. "You'll see when I get back." I tell him. I headed to the training felicity and saw an old friend. "Officer Halstead or should I say Detective." "Hey Maxwell, I'm sure you know why I'm here." I tell him. "Yes, and this is your new partner." He tells me and I turn to see a beautiful German shepherd.

"This is Dagger. We picked the best one we got." Max tells me. I bent down and pet her. "Well, I would love to stay and chat, but I have a massacre that I'm working." I tell him. "See you later then." I loaded Dagger up and headed back. As I walked into the station Platt gave me a look. "The Commander wanted intelligence to have a K9." I tell her. "Well get up there then." She tells me and we enter the bull pin. "What's with the dog Ava." Ruzek asks me. "Well apparently Intelligence needed a K9." Everyone gave me the same look Platt did. We got an address, and we were off. Dagger was already in work mode as soon as she got out of the car.
