Kaisoo: Unattainable Love

3rd POV

Kai was absolutely shocked by the words coming out of Kyungsoo's mouth.

Miss being with girls?
Be disgusted by him?
Not love him?
Not care if he died?

Nothing Kyungsoo was saying made sense. Why would he think such things? Who put those thoughts in his head?

Kai sat himself beside Kyungsoo on the rooftop's edge and tilted his chin up, cupping his chubby cheeks in his hands.

"Baby.. Why would you think like that? Who told you those things? Of course I love you.. Of course I don't miss those girls.. You don't disgust me. And if you fell off this roof I'd jump right off after you.." Kai said, his tone sincere. But something still looked off on Kyungsoo's face.

"N-no reason.. It's nothing..." Kyungsoo said nonchalantly, as if nothing was going on. But Kai shook his head.

"Baby that is not nothing. You're acting odd, something's going on and I don't like it. Why would you ever say things like that.." He said in a soft tone, making Kyungsoo meet his eyes.

"Sometimes all this just feels.. too good to be true..." Soo said quietly.

"Well believe it baby, because it's true, I'm right here, and I love you more than anything.." Kai said as he pressed a soft kiss to the other's lips. "Now let's go get you something to eat," He said and Kyungsoo nodded. They both stood, and headed off to lunch.

The two ate at lunch, not discussing the morning with their friends, and Kyungsoo not mentioning the notes to Kai. Kai's words made him feel better, but not entirely. He still worried that there could be any hint of truth in the notes, and that horrified him. But pushing it off, he continued through his day, not ignoring Kai anymore. He was still slightly out of it, but when asked he just said he was tired.

That soon changed though, when Kai began to feel ignored again. But so did the rest of their friends, because after 6th hour, none of them could find Kyungsoo. He wasn't in his classroom when it ended, he wasn't in the bathroom or wandering the halls. It was as if he'd vanished, and a wave of worry flashed over Kai.

Where could he be? What if those guys had found him? What if they were doing what they threatened last time..

Kai was worried out of his mind, repeatedly calling his boyfriend's phone, til he heard a familiar ringtone sounding from a locker, Kyungsoo's locker. Kai opened the small locker, that'd been left unlocked to see Kyungsoo's bookbag stuffed inside, his phone sitting on top. A note was taped to the inside of the metal door. A note that read,

'You're too late..'

Kai didn't know what to do or to say, he didn't know where to look. He was confused and worried, the thought that Kyungsoo could be hurt horrified him. So he did all he could, slammed his fist into a locker with a loud bang before sliding his back down against it..

Darkness. That was all Kyungsoo could see.

He didn't know where he was, last be remembered he was walking into his 6th hour.. heard a bang.. felt a pain in his head.. and felt himself be lifted off of his feet.. He tried to scream only to discover there was a tie in his mouth, leaving him mute. A blindfold over his eyes kept him from seeing anything. But he could hear voices speaking close by.
