IV

The three people dressed completely in black, covering them from head to toe, only their eyes visible, came out sneakily from their hiding places in the bushes.
They'd been waiting a while for the lights to go out, and for a while now, only a small dim light shone through the gaps of the thick bedroom blinds.
Everything was quiet, so that probably meant that they were safe, and snuck up on the house to that same room, one shining a laser.
"Ok, we know what we're doing, right?" One harshly whispered. "We grab the rat, leave without ever being noticed, go back to our buyer, and we grab the reward and live our best lives rich,"
Of course, she left out the part where she does away with the other two. Those riches would be all hers, no one else's.

One held up a sturdy metal net and some large, thick looking ropes, whilst the other showed a dark gun, loaded with tranquilizers.
"Good, you understood the assessment," she turned back to the window, "for once."
Pressing a button on the laser, she circled it around the glass, and it fell away, her expertly catching it before it could shatter. "Right, get your butts in there," She quietly ushered them in.
Not quietly enough, apparently, as Sonic did indeed wake up, and gave them a shocked look before one of the three shot a small dart at him.
"Looking down at where it had embedded into his lower torso, he raised his head at the one that shot it and sighed.
"Well, that's just rude,"
He simply stated before flopping into a limp pose on the bed.
"Quick, boys. Secure him and let's get out of here before that other one wakes up and comes in,"

"Sonic!" Tails seemed to leap out of bed. He didn't know why, he just had a feeling something bad had happened.
Tiredly but swiftly running to his friend's room, he couldn't believe it when he saw the blinds open with a large hole in the window, big enough for a fully grown human to climb though, and no Sonic.
Unbelievably walking to the bed, he found the dart lying there, a small amount of liquid oozing from it.

Sonic had been kidnapped

Blue opened his eyes and stretched. The morning had dawned. Turning onto his side, they weren't all too shocked to find his chao, Darla, staring back at them.
Blue gave her a smile, "Hey, girl! I bet that you're hungry,"
The chao purred in response. She was a white hero chao, of the fly element. She had grown to resemble more of a cat, also adapting some very cat-like behavior, such as taking to foods made specifically for cats.
Blue poured her a bowl of kibble and filled the water bowl up with fresh, before getting himself some breakfast. A sausage roll and a cup of caramel latte were enough to get the day started.
Swiping through his phone, Blue almost dropped the small electronic after seeing G.U.N's latest announcement, hurrying up the tell Puro everything that had happened.

"He's gone?" Puro questioned as the two walked down the busy shopping street, and Blue nodded. "Yeah. By the sound of it, he was taken under the darkness of the night. Tails woke up early this morning and found him gone, with a hole in the window. Large enough for a human to get away,"
As Blue explained, the two then realized that people were screaming and running away. Blue and Puro gave each other a knowing nod and flew around the corner to find, by absolutely no one's surprise, Eggman leading a robot attack.
"Destroy this area, minions! With no Sonic to stop me, I can do whatever I please! Today, I start building my empire!"
Of course, the egg had heard about Sonic from the news, that was just their luck. Blue didn't even say anything before blasting off at full speed towards the Eggmobile.
"What's this..?" Eggman questioned, "Oh, yes, I remember you. You're the little nuisance that stopped me last time. Well, you won't be so lucky this time! Fire!" He shot some missiles from the small floating vehicle, all four of them rocketing towards Blue, causing him to fall back a bit to avoid them.
"Blue!" Puro cried, flying up to face him, small leathery bat wings flapping crazily, "Are you ok?"
They put a thumb up at his friend, "A-ok! Now, let's scramble this egg! You go round the back, while I distract him,"
Puro nodded as the two got to work, Blue dodging everything that was thrown at him, taunting him.
"What? Is that all you've got?! This is only my second time doing this, and yet it's so easy. That's gotta be embarrassing for you!"
"Why you little.." The scientist stopped for a second before catching sight of Puro, "ah, the old sneak attack. Don't even bother, do you even know how many times Sonic and Tails have tried that?"
"Puro! Fall back! He knows," Blue yelled, and he breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the Cetarian fly away before something bad happened to her.
The hybrid stared intensely at the laughing mad man.
"Haha! Awww... did you really think that you could defeat me? I've been doing this for ye- agh!"
Even Blue was surprised by the explosion from behind the Eggmobile, and gasped as a grey figure arose from the explosion and circled a few times in the air. An eagle, Blue realized. He gave them a smirk before stopping, large feathered wings flapping.

"Wassup my homies? Glad I'm not too late to the party!" He then threw another small object in Eggman's direction, the object exploding, causing the thing to spiral out of control.
"I'll get you for this!" Eggman shouted before disappearing, the bots turning around to follow their master.

Landing beside each other, Blue turned to face the newcomer.
"Hey, Sora's the name, pizazz's the aim!" He then did a spin before holding out his hand for Blue to shake. Looking at him, he wore an even darker zip-up hoodie, the rims a deep green, with matching headphones placed on his shoulders, pop music could be heard playing from them. Blue couldn't be sure, but his shoes looked a bit like wheelies.
"Pleased to meet you too," Blue chuckled a bit. "My name's.."
"Wait, don't tell me," Sora interrupted, "I know it! Wait a second! Blur! That's it, right?"
"It's Blue, actually," Blue informed.
"Blue! Right, right! That's it! I remember now! I remember thinking as I watched the news, 'man, what a boring name to choose. Why not something more sparkling like 'Aqua' or 'Azure'"
There was one thing he said that confused Blue, "Wait, how did you know that I'm.."
It was now Sora's turn to laugh, "Oh sugar, I knew from the moment I saw you. Call it a sixth sense, if you will," He laughed, and Blue just nodded in response, still a bit confused.
"Well, thanks for the help, Sora. We really needed it." Blue confessed as he and Puro started walking down the road.
"Hey, where are you going?" The young grey bird asked curiously.
"Oh, to a friend's. I guess that you could come if you wanted. We could do with an extra hand. Or, um... wing, I guess." Blue invited, and Sora hurriedly followed them all the way to Christmas' house.

Arriving at the large house, Sora gave a whistle, "Wow. Get a load of this place," he commented as they walked through the garden, and towards the door, Blue knocking loudly. A few moments later, and they heard a key turning, a few seconds later the door itself swung open.
"Hello?" A face came from behind the door, the two remembering it as Ben, who beamed when he saw that they had came back, "Hi! Come in!" He then turned around to the stairs as the trio came in, taking their shoes off and placing them on the shoe rack, "Christmas! Your friends are here!"
Ben then skipped off to the kitchen, "Hold on, let me get you guys some Soda and snacks," he seemed more excited about then being here than Christmas himself, who had just come down the stairs.
"Hey, guys, what's up?" He made eye contact with Sora, the bird grinning friendlily at him, Christmas returning it shyly.
"Sonic's gone missing," Blue informed, Christmas stepping back in shock.
"W-what?"
