A few days later it was finally time and Vegeta could enter the newly built gravity room. His wounds were still wrapped in bandages because they hadn't fully healed, but the aspiring Super-Saiyajin didn't want to be deterred from achieving his goal.
Especially not from that annoying earth woman! Because although Bulma had actually sworn to leave him alone after the last situations, she still couldn't help but check on him from time to time. After all, she didn't want the space capsule to explode again... and this time potentially damaging her house!

Also in this gravity room was Dr. Briefs installed a holoscreen too that could be used to communicate from any monitor in the house.
And when Bulma saw that Vegeta, despite his recent accident, had already resumed his excessive training, she just couldn't contain herself.
"Stop it, Vegeta!" she reprimanded him after switching to the gravity room via the holoscreen. "You are in no condition to be doing this right now!"
At that moment, Vegeta was doing balance exercises by turning around his own axis while hovering in the air. And while he was being yelled at by the annoying earth woman, he just glared up at the holoscreen.
His lack of response infuriated Bulma. "I know you don't want to believe it, but you are made of flesh and blood!" But secretly she meant well with him...
But Vegeta didn't care. "Stop pestering me, woman!" he retorted grumpily while hanging upside down in the air. "Leave me alone! A-Argh...!"
The surging anger robbed him of his concentration, and he couldn't keep himself in the air much longer and then, with a startled noise, he fell to the ground. There he came to a halt noisily and bared his teeth in anger. Working against the immense pressure, he elbowed himself forward and then glared up at the screen, one eye narrowed.
When Bulma saw this, she immediately felt confirmed in her assumption and put on an arrogant expression. "You know I'm right! So why don't you just keep quiet and do as I say?!"
Vegeta lowered his gaze to the ground, a bead of sweat dripping from the tip of his nose. He started with effort - but also with anger - to shiver. Because having to endure this annoying chatter made him extremely angry!
Receiving no reply, Bulma moved her face closer to the screen again and looked down at him. "Nothing to say? Well, that's good. Now go back to bed and get some rest!"
"Not yet", he suddenly protested. "I do have something to say..."
And then Bulma's expression changed on the spot. "Uh," she replied a little more sheepishly. "Why, is something wrong...?"
But in order not to show any weaknesses in front of him, she put on a cheeky grin and quickly added, "Or maybe you're finally going to apologize to me? If that's the case, then let's hear it!"
And Vegeta let her hear - so loud and angry that a massive vein swelled in his neck.
"LEAVE ME... ALOOONE!!"
The red light of the gravity room made his expression seem even more furious than he already was.
Bulma was so shocked by this violent reaction that she couldn't hide her dismay. She blinked and stared at him discouragedly for a moment.
And then, without saying another word, she cut the connection.
...
Vegeta lowered his head again and an angry growl escaped from his throat.
He had absolutely no desire to deal with this woman now... No, he didn't want to waste just another thought on her! Finally he had achieved what he wanted. She was gone and he could continue his training in peace.

Although 'peace' wasn't exactly the right word to describe Vegeta's training. He strained the gravity machine and the practice robots until the circuits glowed and giving his own body a break only when absolutely necessary.
He trained until he dropped. Literally. But every time he pushed himself to the brink of exhaustion, it only spurred him on more. His accident, which would probably have killed any normal person, had only made him stronger. So Vegeta was initially sure that he would be a little bit closer to his goal with each passing day.
But as the weeks went by, a growing frustration boiled up inside him.

"Why... why can't I reach his level?!" he wondered aloud as he dropped to his knees in front of the space capsule. "I... I am the prince of the Saiyans!"
His words caught Bulma's ears, who was in the garden at the same time, and caused her to roll her eyes. Because she couldn't count how many times she had heard this statement from him...
But the gravity room didn't care that he was the prince of the Saiyans!
And Bulma didn't care either! So she didn't give a damn about his whining and just went about her business. And today, for once, there was no work on any machines or computers. Today she had taken the time to sunbathe extensively.
But suddenly something seemed to cover the sun - she could see that despite closed eyes and sunglasses. When she then opened her eyes, she saw Vegeta. In his usual training outfit, shorts plus sneakers, he stood right next to her deck chair and gawked down at her dissatisfied. His spiky black hair cast a shadow across her face.
"Woman! I need to talk to you!" he snapped harsh.
Bulma's eyebrows twitched angrily and she lowered her red-rimmed sunglasses a little.
"Hrg, how many more times?!" she snapped back. "Bulma! B-U-L-M-A! Are you that slow on the uptake?!"
Though their last dialogue in gravity room may have receded into the background, it was not forgotten. At least not for Bulma. But if she had learned one thing, it was that she didn't want to show any excessive sympathy in front of Vegeta anymore. So she taking a deep breath, she leaned back and relaxed her hands on the armrests. Then she put on an arrogant expression and added, " Do you want to cream me or what? If not, then get out of my sun!"
Vegeta promptly flinched and an angry flush of shame crossed his cheeks. //What?! How vulgar!!//
But he couldn't help but take a quick look at her body. Of course, he kept his annoyed expression.
"Can you shut up for once?" he replied angrily. "You have to do something for me. It's about the gravity room."
Bulma let out an annoyed sigh, but then listened to his request.

"What?! He wants to train at 400-times gravity?! Has he gone mad?!"
"I think that question has long been obsolete," Bulma sighed while pouring tea for Yamcha and herself.
"Is the gravity room even capable of that?"
"If I amplify it again, then yes. But I still need a few materials for that..." Thoughtfully she tapped her tea bag up and down. Then she looked at Yamcha across the kitchen table. "Maybe you can get me those?"
//What? I'm supposed to help this arrogant wannabe prince?//, he just thought offended and furrowed his eyebrows.
But even if he could have overlooked it, he didn't have time anyway. This time it wasn't a lame excuse, but a real valid reason! And he couldn't exactly say that the reason was inconvenient for him...
"I'd like to," he said. "but I have a game tomorrow."
"Oh, right!" Bulma threw back her head in disappointment. Then she sighed again. "Well, it looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands..."
