My cookies! (vegebul)

The following morning, Bulma had to think back to that evening when she had watched the full moon together with Vegeta. Because somehow this experience seemed almost a little... romantic. Although Vegeta most likely saw it differently.
//He seems to have softened towards me,// she thought, an almost cheerful expression on her face.
Because it was indeed a rarity that she and Vegeta had a real conversation and she just liked to think back to yesterday. It didn't undo the negative experiences with him, but at least let him appear in a slightly different light. Vegeta was far more complex than Bulma had first thought.
Pondering once again about her Saiyan housemate, she was on her way to the kitchen. She still had to have a good time during her little break, slept late and spent half the morning in bed. But now she had gotten a little hungry and since she had absolutely no desire to cook, she just wanted to get a few cookies from the kitchen.
Of course, she hadn't forgotten that the combat simulator and the gravity room still needed maintenance - and in case she did, Vegeta would surely remind her.

So he was looking for her that same morning, because something in the gravity room wasn't working as it should.
Mrs. Briefs had immediately pointed in the direction of the kitchen when she saw his grumpy expression and so he made his way there. He entered with the same expression - just as Bulma reached out on tiptoe to fish down the coveted packet of cookies from a higher shelf. She was still in her nightgown and now revealed a wonderful view of her pink panties.
Startled, Vegeta uncrossed his arms and his grumpy expression increased tenfold.
//W-What's that supposed to be?!//, he thought angrily, but blushed a little at the same time. //She's doing this on purpose!//
He clenched his fists, clenched his teeth, and then blared out in his commanding tone: "Woman, you have to see the gravity room! Something is wrong there!"
Bulma startled at his voice, her fingers brushing against the cookie pack, which promptly fell on her head shortly thereafter. "Ouch!"
She rubbed the sore spot while turning to face Vegeta.
It was gone, the good mood about their evening together. Once the full moon disappeared, Vegeta's manners obviously disappeared too!
"Excuse me?" Bulma reacted immediately indignant. "I was in there just yesterday!"
But he wasn't in the mood for discussions. "Tch. Then you're probably slacking off," was his outrageous explanation. "Just take a look and fix that thing so I can move on."
Bulma scowled angrily and started squeezing the packet of cookies with one hand. "I told you before..." And on impulse she swung back and threw the packet at Vegeta, who was about to turn around again. "You shouldn't take that tone with me!!"
Before the pack could hit him in the back of the head, however, he had raised his hand in a flash and caught it in the air. He paused. And then turned his head menacingly slowly back to Bulma.
Pierced by his scary gaze, her face turned blue with shock and the corner of her mouth began to twitch involuntarily.
"That you dare to do that..." he then said to her and the angry sound of his voice alone gave her full body goosebumps.
But despite of her initial amazement, she immediately put on a firm face again.
"You'll be surprised what I dare to do!", she countered and proud of this quick-witted answer, she put her hands on her hips and lifted her nose.
//Pah! I'm not going to let that intimidate me!// she thought arrogantly. //You would like that, wouldn't you monkey prince?!//
Vegeta now turned his body sideways too, still looking at her. He was pretty sure to detect a hint of uncertainty in her serious expression and suddenly there was a play on his face, albeit only very discreetly, which almost resembled a smug smile.
But that wasn't all. Because he actually opened the packet with a rustle and then simply shoved a cookie into his mouth.
When Bulma saw this, she immediately shook her fist at him in indignation.
"H-Hey! These are mine--"
"Come into the gravity room," Vegeta cut her off abruptly after swallowing the bite.
Then he just walked out of the kitchen, leaving Bulma alone with her frustration and added irritation. There she was in her nightgown, without any cookies and without the idea of claiming them back from Vegeta... Because she was still far too surprised by his smile - if it really had been one - and his words. Had he really just smiled at her and asked her to join him in the gravity room?
//Look at this... Does he enjoy provoking me?//, she asked herself and at the same time a small smile appeared on her face.
Because she couldn't deny that she kind of liked that a little bit.

Bulma had no idea what to expect in the gravity room and she had to admit that she was kind of nervous. Vegeta's gaze and the sound of his voice went on a merry-go-round in her short-term memory.
After she slipped into her work clothes, she actually wanted to go straight away - but stopped again in front of her mirror and examined herself. She ran her fingers through her hair, checked her eyebrows, her lips, tugged at her clothes and adjusted her bra.
But in this movement she stopped.
//What am I doing here anyway?/ It occurred to her as she stared at her reflection.
Everything indicated heavily that she was trying to please Vegeta. Did she seriously intend to seduce him? Just the thought made her stomach tighten in a knot. She had to take a deep breath and close her eyes. Then she looked at herself again and fixed her gaze.
// There is nothing. You're imagining it all, Bulma,// she said to herself. //Don't freak out about it!//
Then she marched out of the room with her head held high... and came stumbling back a few seconds later because she had left her toolbox around the corner.
