I looked back at the lake as my dad was steering the boat onto the shore. I could've swore that there was someone staring back at me. Or I could be paranoid. Either one is possible.
I got into his truck as he drove away thinking about what if could be. It could be a- ah never mind. It couldn't be. They don't exist. My dad did say that this lake was full of wonders so maybe his version of "wonders" is just a polluted lake with mutant fish. Yeah, that's what it was. A mutated fish.
We pulled into the driveway and my dad took out the fish we (and by we I mean he) caught. He started to "clean" the fish, which I obviously don't understand. Aren't the fish already clean? You know being in water and all? As he was cleaning the fish I walked into the house and started to walk towards my room and started to play on my phone. I don't get many games, being out in the middle of nowhere.
After I got bored of my phone ( which was quite quickly) I found myself wondering in the direction of his makeshift library. Don't get me wrong it was full of books, just not organized into a shelf. It was full of deer stuff, well hunting stuff centered around deer. I found a book that wasn't about hunting or deer (surprising, I know). It turns out to be about the history of this little town. To be honest, I don't even know the name of this town. All I know is that "it's the best place on Earth". "History of Moreclare" I mumbled. Huh. So that's what this dump was called. I looked through the book looking at the pictures and little bits of words and stuff. My dad called me for dinner and I took the book with me and put it in the drawer with the deer figure on it.
Let's hope I survive the wretched dinner in which we will most likely be having fish.
I got bored and so I wrote this chapter half asleep. Please feel free to comment whatever on this. Sorry if it's a bit to cringy for you, I understand. I try to make it the least bit of cringy as I can. Just remember this was written half asleep. Please recommend me to your fellow peeps if you like the book! It helps my self esteem! ( sorry if I'm nagging :) !)I hope you like it and don't forget to vote, comment and obviously like!
