•Chapter Fifteen: Game Over•

Does anyone even read my a/n's at the end?? It doesn't usually matter, but I got a bunch of comments saying that the masquerade guy was Hans or someone. And I just hope everyone understands that he is a totally random guy that will never be brought up ever again!

The whole chapter was about how Elsa missed Jack, and I think a lot of you missed the point. Sorry for the confusion!

Anna and I woke up early the next morning. We were going to hang out with Punzie; Merida was obviously going to be unavailable since the events of last night.

I decided to wear a new light blue sundress that I had gotten shopping. It was a very simple dress, but everyone said it looked really cute on me, so naturally I decided to get it. Now that I looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed how it did seem to bring out my eyes.

Punzie would be arriving in a few minutes. Just as Anna and I finish breakfast, I get a text from Kuzco.

Meet me at the park. I made my decision.

So he finally did it. But, of course, at the worst time possible.

"Hey Anna?" I ask.

"Yeah?" Anna speaks through bites of banana.

"I've gotta go, but I'll be back pretty soon."

She doesn't even bother asking about it. I'm sure it's obvious who I'm talking to; everyone can always tell. I pull on some white sandals and head to the park. Instead of cutting through the playground, I head straight to the lake. I don't have time for detours right now.

"Hey." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as I see Kuzco. He's still not watching the stunning looks of the outdoors; as usual.

"Hey." Kuzco turns and waits for me to step beside him before continuing. "So I've decided what I'm going to do."

I nod silently. No matter what, he's leaving, and I'm ready for it, so he should get to the point.

"I'm going to California. I'll be the main character in that one, and it's pretty fun."

"That's great, Kuzco! I'm so happy for you." I sigh. So what now?

He seems to read my thoughts. "I guess this is goodbye then; I'm leaving in a few days."

I nod more attentively this time to show I care. Though it's like going to a funeral for someone you've been knowing was going to die for months; it's not nearly as sad anymore. "Good luck with your acting career." I pause. This is the last time I'll ever see him, so I guess I should make it significant. "I love you."

He pulls me into a hug, but I barely hug back. I don't really love him, not as much as I should, and I feel really guilty for lying like that. But just as he puts his arms around me, I hear him mumble.

"No, you don't. But it's about time for you to figure out who you actually love."

His words shock me, and my eyes fly open. Even though he didn't say it, my thoughts immediately turn to Jack.

Eventually, our little farewell ends. It wasn't very sad and to be honest I'm thinking more about how I could still beat Punzie home.

I get to my house almost exactly when she does.

"Hey Punzie!" I open the door.

"Are you okay? You look pale." Punzie looks at me worriedly.

I've never been a good liar. But I can't possibly express what I'm thinking right now. "Well... Actually, I need your advice."
