•Chapter Seven: Meet me?•

"Hey Elsa, can I go to the pool today?" My cousin Jamie asks.

I sigh. I've been basically living at the pool all Summer (when I'm not at the ice skating rink) but I'm supposed to watch Jamie. And I don't want him to sit around bored all day! This is his summer vacation too!

"Sure Jamie! Just let me text Kuzco really quick." I have a day off for once and I wanted to spend it with my boyfriend. Might as well ask him even if he does hate the pool.

"Does he have to come with?" Jamie complains. "I don't like him."

I laugh. "Jamie! He's my boyfriend. Even if you don't like him, I do, so yeah he has to come with."

Jamie groans and gestures to the couch. "Okay, I'll be waiting on the couch."

I quickly pull my phone out. I'm taking Jamie to the pool today. Want to come?

It takes him a while to text back. Why the pool?

Because that's where Jamie wants to go! Please?

I guess I can't say no to you! Be there in 10

I just got a new swim suit a few days ago, so I quickly change into it. It's a light lavender one piece and the middle of it is a sheer lace. Anna told me she didn't like my old red one, so she got me this one. I'm kind of glad though; it's pretty cute.

"Alright Jamie, let's go!" I run back downstairs and we drive over to the pool.

Kuzco arrives just a few minutes later. He looks like he doesn't want to be here. "You know, you don't have take the kid wherever he wants. If you don't want to take him somewhere, just say no!"

I sigh. "Yeah, but this is his first vacation here and I want it to be fun for him! Besides, I think he really just wanted to hang out with that one girl he met. She comes here a lot too."

"So your twelve year old cousin has a crush? That's it?" Kuzco folds his arm and acts as if he's never had a crush before.

"I think it's kinda cute! Besides, he's only here for the summer. It's not doing any harm." I say. Kuzco just shrugs in silence. Unlike me, Kuzco isn't a kid person. He's an only child, so he's never around children.

We set some towels down on the grass and sit down. Kuzco immediately closes his eyes and relaxes, but I stay sitting up so I can watch Jamie.

"Elsa, he's twelve years old. I'm sure he can take care of himself. Relax a little!" Kuzco tries to pull me down but I don't let him.

"I just want to make sure he doesn't get hurt, okay?" I continue watching him. He's playing around with some kids over by the slide. Just as I thought, that girl is one of them.

"Fine. But I'm still here, so I'm going to talk to you while you play overprotective mother."

When he says that, I snap my attention to him. "I'm not overprotective! I'm just..." I can't think of what to say so I just close my mouth in defeat.

Kuzco clears his throat and sits up. I feel kind of bad for dragging him over, but I didn't want to sit alone!

"So tomorrow I have a few auditions. If I make it I'll be able to get some pretty cool acting jobs." Kuzco changes the subject.

"Kuzco that's great!" I try to focus on him. Behind him, I see the one and only Jack Frost. He's playing around with a little kid but watching the water at the same time; probably watching his little sister. Does he just follow us around now?
