Curse of Black Pearl: The pirate's life for me

I was always meant to be at sea. Ever since I was young, I have always been fascinated by the water. My father died at sea. I was the only survivor on the boat. My mother rescued me. That was when I found out my true self. I was a mermaid. My mother had fallen in love with a pirate. I was a mermaid. Once I hit the salt water my legs morphed in a beautiful emerald, green tail with hints of purple scales scattered all down my tail. I survived that night because I could breathe underwater. Now I'm a pirate for life. The pirate's life for me.

"My crewmen and woman get ready to dock at Tortuga. We will gather supplies to set sail. Maybe find a job to do. You are all dismissed." Rosa, Hernando, Selma, and I stayed on board.

"Rosa por qué te quedas a bordo de Hernando y Rosa? (Why do you stay on board)." They shake their heads.

"Because you need to get off this ship every so often. And stop speaking Spanish, Selma can't understand you." Hernando replied.

"I very well know that Hernando. Now you guys go off. I'm going to find us work and then see if my mother is around. Good day." I nod and start walking off the ship.

We picked up Selma when she was young. I was 18 when I came across the young woman. She was 14 and now she is 18, while I'm 22. Hernando was a pirate for the Black pearl before he decided not to kill a person. He was kicked off the ship and marooned. I found him out there. He was 20. He has only been on the crew for 2 years. A couple months later we found Rosa about to be hung in Port Royal, but we snuck in to save her. They are both Hispanic. Selma is the daughter of Barbossa. Is as English as possible. I am bi-lingual. It is needed to make deals with other countries.

As I'm walking to the pub, I run into someone much taller than me. "Oh, I'm sorry love, didn't see you there." I look up to see who it is, and it is none other than Jack Sparrow.

"Sparrow what are you doing so far out of hiding? Did Barbosa maroon you? I wouldn't be surprised." He has a confused look on his face when he looks down at me then recognizes who I am.

"My, my, young Eliana Garcia I see. Long time no sees. My, may I ask, did Barbosa kick you off his ship?" I shake my head.

"It's Captain Eliana Garcia to you Sparrow and no. He found out something that no one should know. It's a long story. Last I knew you were the captain. Not anymore, I see."

My comment is snide and light-hearted. I didn't care for him much, but he knew me better than most. We were both on the Black Pearl. We were the only two who understood each other.

"Now I'm looking for work. You got any?" I ask. He nods.

"Why yes. We need to save a lad's loved one. You got a ship?" I nod.

"Almost faster than the Black pearl. Her name is Mujer amorosa. Means..." I was cut off by Jack. "Loving woman." He looks like he is contemplating something when a young fellow walks out of the bar.

"Jack, we need to find a crew." The boy said. When Jack turns around my same petite figure is shown.

"We have one now lad. Will Turner meet Captain Eliana Garcia. Eliana, Will. Will, Eliana. Now that that is over let's set sail." Once I got back to my ship more crewmates were on board. They didn't look cut out to sail.

"¿Qué demonios está pasando en Hernando? Te dejé por un par de nosotros para encontrar un trabajo y hay idiotas adicionales en mi barco. ¡Estos tipos no parecen haber estado en un barco antes! (What the hell is going on Hernando? I left you for a couple of hours to find a job and there are extra idiots on my ship. These guys don't look like they have ever been on a ship before!)." I was pissed.

I heard Jack laugh behind me, and Rosa giggled. By the look of it, Selma knew I was mad.

"Te asesinaré Jack. ¿Qué demonios están haciendo estos dunderheads en mi barco? ¡No pueden navegar! Lo hiciste sin permiso también (I will murder you Jack. What the hell are these dunderheads doing on my ship? They can't sail! You did it without permission too)." I am furious.

"This is your crew, Eliana. We can't do this with just 5 people. Plus, I trust Mr.Gibbs. Ahora, por favor, no me grites frente a la tripulación (Now please don't yell at me in front of the crew)." I clenched my fist but walked away to the captain's deck. I was more than pissed I had rando's on my ship, but they were brought by Jack of all people. Why did this always happen to me. I heard my door open and then close. I look over mind shoulder to see Jack standing there.

"What do you want Jack?" That came off harsher than it was supposed to.

"I can see you're upset love, but it is all we can find. I will oversee, making sure they don't destroy anything I promise but for now, it's been so long Eliana. Why don't we sit down with some rum and talk once we set sail? I want to know what you've been up to since you left the Black Pearl." I smile slightly at the thought.

"Sure Jack. I would love that. Now this is the test that these men can deport from the docks. I can't wait to see how they do." Jack laughs and leaves my room. I then hear my door open and close again to reveal Selma.

"Have you told him yet?" She asks. I shake my head.

"He should not know that I was supposed to die in a ship crash, turned into a mermaid, and finished being raised by my mother who is also a mer-person. I sound crazy. I will also not be telling him that your dad was the one to try to kill me. He killed my father, Selma. I know you had nothing to do with it, but I am still broken from it however it made me be who I am today." She had a sad smile on her face.

"But Jack still loves you. You should tell him."

"I have seen him for the first time in years. He can't be in love, he's a pirate." She laughs.

"A damn good one but he can't make himself stop falling for you." She smiled and walked out leaving the door open. I walked out to the deck and saw we were already at open ocean.

"Jack, you did this?" I ask him as I was walking up to the steering wheel.

"Aye love, all these men needed was a push. Mr.Gibbs come say hi to our lovely captain." He motioned me over to an older man with a beard talking to Will Turner.

"Why hello Ms. Garcia. I'm Gibbs." He shook my hand and walked off. "Well so much for a meet and greet. Will how are you fairing?" I ask him.

"I'm fine Eliana. Thank you for asking. I must be off." He walked away from me. Why is everyone walking away from me?
