It was nighttime when I went back out to the deck. I saw Jack up on the crow nest looking out to see. I decided to join him.

"Jack why are you up here along with no one to supervise you. You're drinking rum 50 feet in the sky." He looks at me then back at sea.

"It's beautiful ain't it? The way it's unpredictable but you love it. How it has a secret but cannot tell you because it is afraid of how the rest will see them." I knew these words were for me. The hit me deep, deeper than they should of.

"Jack I," He cut me off.

"Eliana, I know you have been hiding something from me. If you don't want to tell me, I'm fine. I'm not forcing you to do anything. I've known you for years love. Don't worry."

I sit down next to Jack and take the bottle of rum from him.

"Is the rum talkin' Jack?" I ask while taking a swig. He shakes his head.

"It was half drunk. I didn't drink all tha' all." I laugh. His voice was soothing to my ears. Almost like a wave. I look down to see if the crew is asleep and go to grab Jack's hand.

"I want to show you something, but you can't tell a soul. Only Selma, Hernando and Rosa know of this. I need you to promise Jack." I pulled him up with my arm.

"Cualquier cosa por amor (anything for you love)." I smile at his thoughtfulness. I lead him down to the main deck and lead him to the side of the boat.

"Whatever you do, don't jump in. Got it?" He looks shocked. "Wait Eliana what are going to..." I dove into the water. The impact didn't hurt since it was natural.

"Eliana where are you?" Jack whisper yelled. I pop my head out of the water and continue to swim with the boat, my tail not shown yet.

"How are you swimming so fast love?" He keeps calling me love. I don't understand why. With a flick of my wrist, I rise the water below to the top deck. I'm sitting on the water like a bench to show Jack my tail. Controlling water was my favorite. I could also talk to sea creatures, but I never did. They had their owns lives to live.

"Eliana, why did you never tell me?" I push the water closer to the wall of the deck and slid onto it. It would take a hot minute for my tail to dry.

"I never really told anyone. The only reason my crewmates found out is because they saw me talking to my mother at sea. She is a queen you know. Queen of Aquadia. I never took up being a princess really." I laugh a little.

"If people would find out they would set out looking to kill me or use me. I would never allow that. The night my father died at Barbossa's hand I never forgave myself. My mother saved me. Once I hit the water, I had a tail ever since. It's why I love the sea. It calls to me. Not like Sirens no but like it's part of my heart, and if that part of my heart gets destroyed I will too."

Jack grabbed my hands and kissed each one of them. "People also find us scary. They think we are sirens but really, we never meant to hurt." My tail disappeared and I stood up.

"Love, I think you are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this with me." I smile. His statement always warming my heart I don't understand why. Jack started to walk away when I grabbed his wrist lightly.

"Can I ask you a question Jack?"

"Anything Love." There it is again.

"Why do you call me love? It's an affection used term."

"Why do you ask? Do you think it's contradicting love?"

I shake my head. "No. I just don't understand why you say it to me all the time."

"What else is there to call you?" I laugh.

"My name. Eliana. Or you could call me Captain Garcia like the crew calls me." I smirk at my last comment.

"Ah no and no." Jack has a smirk playing on his lips.

"Goodnight love." He said and walked away. I went off into a dreamless sleep that night.
