It was the day of the wedding, Ruhana was busy making the arrangements. She didn't want anything to be missed.
She smiled to herself remembering Khushi. Khushi hugged her from behind and said "abhi se mujhe miss karne lage ho?"
Ruhana tapped her cheek "karungi hi.. Tu chali jayegi toh mujhe pareshan kaun karega? Tere Dad toh saara din office mein hi rehte hai"
Khushi kissed her cheeks and said "main toh kabhi bhi tapak padungi ghar pe aapko tang karne.."
Ruhana grabbed her hand and pulled her in front of her. Khushi sat down on bed, Ruhana made her wear a few gold bangles.
"Mom ye?" she asked.
She smiled "ye maa ke hai.. Unhone mere liye banwaye they aur ye main tujhe de rahi hun!" she told her.
"Lekin ye toh aapke hai mom.." Khushi said and denied taking it.
Ruhana glared at her and said "ye tumhare hai tum meri beti ho na"
Khushi nodded in yes, there was a knock on the door. Khushi left the door open when she entered, Ruhana glanced at the door and it was Vineet.
"Chachu aap yahan?" Khushi asked.
Vineet came forward and spoke "haan.. Tumhare room mein gaya tha toh tumhari saheli ne bataya tum yahan ho"
He forwarded a box to her and smiled "ye lo tumhara shaadi ka gift"
Khushi hesitated, she looked at Ruhana seeking her permission whether she should take it. Ruhana blinked her eyes in a yes, Khushi held it. She opened it and was shocked to find a diamond necklace and gold bracelet.
"Ye itna expensive gift main nahi rakh sakti" Khushi refused and returned it back to him.
Vineet again kept it in her hand "Khushi.. Shagun hai mana nahi karte hai, Ruhana ne tumhe bangles diye tumne rakhe na.."
"Haan wo meri mom hai... toh maine rakh liye aap toh Samrat ke chachu ho phir kaise main ye rakhlun?" Khushi spoke maturely.
Vineet sighed deeply, he looked at Ruhana who just looked away as Khushi would keep on asking him lots of questions.
"Rakh lo please.." Vineet insists but Khushi denies.
Vineet took a heavy breath and said "agar tumhare mom ke husband dete toh tum rakh leti?"
Ruhana eyed him with wide eyes, Khushi laughed "par woh toh hai hi nahi na.. Meri mom ab tak single hai.. So sad" she said.
"Dekho tumne nahi rakha na toh wapas London chala jaunga phir Samrat upset ho jayega.. Phir mat kehna shaadi mein wo udaas ghumta raha" he tried his last trick to convince her.
Khushi finally agreed "thik hai.. Rakh leti hun.. Sabko emotional blackmail karna hi aata hai"
She handed the gifts to Ruhana along with the bangles "mom ye aap sambhalke mere bag mein rakh dena... aapko toh pata hai na main idhar udhar rakh dungi aur phir kho hi jayega"
Vineet smiled hearing her and said "haan apni maa jo gayi ho.. Uski bhi same aadat hai.."
Vineet bit his tongue out as in excitement he spoke about Manvi. Ruhana wanted to hit him for his act.
Khushi eyed him suspiciously and questioned "Aap meri maa ko kaise jaante ho??"
"Maii.. wo just guess kiya betiyon ki kuch aadat toh apni maa ki tarah hi hoti hai na" Vineet tried to cover up the blunter.
Khushi got angry and said "nahi.. Meri aadatein mere Dadda ki tarah hai samjhe aap! Aur kuch habits maine Mom ki apnayi hai"
Khushi took the gifts from Ruhana's hand and left the room. Vineet was shocked at her reaction.
