~3 days later (Violet's POV)~

It has been three days since me and Nick did magic together and I haven't spoken to him since. I've been avoiding him ever since I found out he was a witch. I mean I didn't know what to say or do. It was a Saturday and I decided to go to the boathouse. I had nothing else better to do. "I'm going out for a bit!", I yelled as I opened the front door. "Have fun, sweetheart!", my aunt yelled back as I left.

~Ninko's POV~

I sighed as I knocked on Charles' door. When he opened it I walked right in, not waiting for an invitation. I looked at him, "we need to talk. Get Dawn over here now." He did as I said and called Dawn. Within ten minutes she was here. "What's the emergency Charl-", she stopped as soon as she seen me. "Hello, Dawn.", I said as she stared at me. Dawn turned to Charles, "what is she doing here?!" Before he could speak I did, "look I know that the kids are practicing and I know that they bound their circle. I also know that you know." "So what's your point? This has nothing to do with you. You walked out on the circle sixteen years ago, right before the tragic accident. Maybe if you and your sister hadn't ran away from the circle everyone would still be here and we would still have our magic!", Dawn said angrily. I laughed, "please. My sister and I walked out because we weren't even a part of the circle. We don't have a circle! Our family doesn't belong to any sort of circle. Plus you know how dangerous it is for my family and the circle to connect. That poweful is too addictive and it will take over." "Those are all lies. I never believed any of that.", Dawn spoke as I rolled my eyes. "Lies??? Need I remind you what happened that night when my sister and Amelia tried to do magic together? It almost killed us all. So whatever it is you guys have planned for your kids keep my niece out of it. She doesn't know about any of this and we need to keep it that way. Violet's mother, father, and little sister all died because of magic and I can't lose her to it too. I won't. I refuse to. So I want you both to stay away from my niece. And if you go near her just remember that the elders didn't strip my powers like they did yours.", I said as I left.

~Nick's POV~

"Ok... so why'd you call to meet up here, Nick? You never ever want to meet up so it has to be important.", Diana said as I nodded. "Violet has magic. She's a witch.", I said as they all stared at me. "Did you tell her about us?...", Adam asked as I shook my head. "No. I thought it would probably be for the best if she didn't know about the circle, but she does know I'm a witch.", I said as Diana nodded. Faye laughed, "so you finally decided to use that brain of yours?" I just ignored her. "Ok... so how do you know she's a witch then?", Melissa asked. I sighed, "well she was trying to heal a wolf who was shot. She was trying to use magic, but she wasn't able to move fast enough on her own without killing it, so I decided to help her." "Alright so she's a witch... w-", I cut Diana off. "She's not just any witch though. She's strong. When we combined our magic I could feel it. Her magic is different. It wasn't like how we combined ours. It didn't feel like that at all. It was more addictive, like a drug. There was just something off about it. I don't know how to explain it.", I said as Faye laughed. "Since when does Nick Armstrong ever care this much?", Faye said as I rolled my eyes. "I don't care. In fact I could care less, but I don't feel like hearing you all complain later on when you find out on your own.", I said as Faye snickered. "Look we need to find out more about Violet. What's her aunt like, Nick?", Diana asked. I shrugged, "I don't know. She keeps to herself. She'll say hi every once in a while when she sees me. She's always been nice to me.", I said as I leaned against the doorway. "Ok. New plan. Nick, she obviously trusts you for some reason and you're the only one that she knows is a witch, so you have to get close with her. At least pretend to care about her. Adam you should try and talk to her too. Make sure she doesn't find out about any of us being witches either. At least not until we find out how we have a connection with her. I'll ask my dad about her and her parents along with her aunt, Faye you should ask your mom, and Adam you should ask your dad. They have to know something about them. Cassie, you could even ask your grandma since she knows about us.", Diana said as we all stared at her. "Still don't know who put you in charge.", Faye mumbled to herself. "Alright. Well I'm heading out then.", I said as I left. I decided to head to the boathouse. When I got there I found Violet. She was sitting in a booth, so I went down and sat across the table from her. "Soooo guess what, Nick!", she said with a stupid grin on her face. I mentally rolled my eyes, "hm?" "The wolf is doing amazing! I went to check on it today and it got reunited with its pack.", she said as I sighed. "And how did you even find it?", I asked as she smirked. "I have my ways.", she said as she smiled at me. She had such a cute smile. "I should probably go home. If your aunt were to see me with you she would kill me. I don't think she likes me too much.", I said as she laughed. "Thats not true... she told me you lost your parents in the tragic accident? I heard it was some kind of fire.", she said as I nodded. "I'd prefer not to talk about it. Like I said... I should probably get going.", I said as I got up to leave. "Goodbye, Nick.", she said as I turned and looked at her. I smiled, "bye, Violet.", I said as I left.
