Chapter 2-3 "I'm sick of trying to help" ∞

After that lovely fight Y/n and Korra had the previous night, it was the next day it was a nice and sunny, shining... Evening! I'm lying, its cold as hell. but anyways! Y/n was... still... asleep but I mean who cares! I sleep in till 3 in the afternoon sometimes! But in this case y/n was asleep half the day, she woke up to a note on the counter, saying something about how Unalaq is taking her to the south pole and how's she's sorry. Y/n rolled her eyes and threw on a coat with a hood on it, some boots, and anything comfortable underneath. she started heading out her tent to find everyone, but she found a snow mobile car thing, and it said gift from Varrick on it, she smiled before driving on it to find everyone, the paper Korra sent was asking if y/n could tag along, she went, just to protect Korra, yes, she's mad at her, but she doesn't want her to die. Y/n ended up finding them quickly, because she found Bolin's snowmobile tracks in the snow.

"I'm here, Barely, but I'm here." Y/n muttered as Bolin looked at her vehicle. "Why does yours look cooler than mine?" Bolin asked jealous. "Because it's a one-seater? I don't know?" Y/n said confused, it was a snowmobile she could care less how cool it looked, she would crash it sooner or later. Korra told her dad something before riding off with Mako behind. Y/n drove behind them, well a little like next to them, And Korra couldn't help but keep looking over at y/n, yes, she was gawking over how pretty she looked, but she was worried about last night she was glad y/n came, but she knows y/n doesn't forgive people easily. Y/n was a great multitasker and so, she told Lin while she was there, she'd relax, yet... she's doing paperwork... I guess it runs in the family.

It was late, y/n smiled looking at how tired Bolin was, at least he had a girlfriend in his car to uh... keep him company? Yeah. "Well, what do you know? Looks like-" Mako tried teasing Bolin, but he was obviously over it already cutting her off. "Go away, Mako." Bolin muttered annoyed. "So... Once we get to the South Pole, then what happens?" Korra asked Unalaq, Y/n looked over while driving also intrigued why they were going to the South Pole. "You will open an ancient sprit portal." Unalaq said so calmly, like what the fuck man, you just became her teacher, haven't taught her shit yet and you're first lesson is; 'Let's go open a portal!!' Dude...? Korra looked at him confused. "I'm sorry, What now?" Korra said as Y/n looked at him the same reaction in mind. "At the South Pole, there is a portal that connects our world to the Spirit World, Bit it has been closed." Unalaq says. "And that's why the evil spirits are attacking?" Korra questioned as she shook his head. "There are no evil spirits, there is light and dark in them all, but when they're unbalanced, the darkness takes over."Unalaq says. and y/n looks at him dumbfounded. "Their basically still evil right now then, dipshit." Y/n muttered looking at the other stack of paperwork she finished. Gladly nobody heard her but Korra, which Korra looked at her because of it.

"If you can open the portal in time, balance will be restored." Unalaq says as y/n gives him a confused look, along with Korra. "What do you mean... in time?" Korra asked. "There's a reason the Glacier Spirits festival ends on the winter solstice, Thats when the spirit World and the physical world are closed together, only then can the avatar open the portal." Unalaq said and y/n gave him a look.

Y/n's Pov/ Thoughts;

'I have never seen a man more suspicious in my life, I mean I guess it's cool to study the avatar and stuff, but damn to know THAT MUCH, dude that's weird as fuck... I won't judge you, actually, I will, but like please explain why you know so much, this is a reason why I hate you, and I'm hungry, but I don't want to pull out my stash on food, what happens if they snatch my food, can't risk it, I'm starving. Korra started speaking interrupting my beautiful thoughts, she said something about how the winter thingy is tomorrow I could care less, I wasn't going to protect her anymore, and yet again I lie to myself, I swear if I get another injury trying to protect her, ill jump off a bridge, and I won't come back. Out of nowhere Naga stops and starts starring at the distance, obviously another spirit was coming back and I was sick of it! "Alright, which one of you angered the big bad spirit." I said out loud as everyone shrugged. "Y/n, to be honest how much you get in trouble it might be you-." Mako the girlfriend snatcher, says. shut up please!! "Mm, Not really, I'm a nice person so I don't think so." I say as she chuckles turning around while I stuck the middle finger at him and Korra looked at me.

Why look at me look at your winning boyfriend, I mean he certainty could protect you, even though, I'm more attractive, prettier, and much more stronger than him! Like what does HE have that I don't?! Is it the stability part?

Meanwhile Korra's Pov:
(Thoughts are completely different)

She's so pretty, Hello..? Look at her muscles, how is she not cold, should I ask her if she's cold or not? Look how attractive she is, lord if she had tattoo's it would be over for me, I wouldn't stand a chance! Wait.. I have a boyfriend, But like.. I still kind of have a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, crush on y/n- its a "small" one though! Its just that she's really attractive that's all! like a TV show crush! you get over it after 1 week! And of Course as I say that she does that little grin thing, may the spirits crush me with a rock.

Ok well we all know Y/n try's to play herself off as "Perfect" sometimes, like in the beginning of their story, she tried her best to impress Tenzin and Pema, because she felt she had too, but after realizing She's not fully Pema's child, and how ass Tenzin was she let go of herself and decided to be her, and you can really see her character development and how she's been changing overtime.
