Y/n wasn't involved in the fight with Vatu, because Korra didn't want her to be, Korra begged Lin to make sure Y/n stayed in republic city where it was "safe" and cozy for her 'little princess'. Y/n groaned in annoyance while running around helping all the civilians.
"Hi miss! Please follow me away from the perimeter! It's not safe!" Y/n yelled wrapping her arms around the middle aged woman's waist guiding her away from the rocky area to a more safer terrain. "Thank you young lady!" She said giving her a smile, which y/n returned back to her. "Wait!" The lady yelled a little terrified. "My daughter!" She said as y/n raised a brow. "My daughter! She's still in the area of my home! But it's been crushed, she could be injured!" The poor lady yelled almost terrified. Y/n quickly grabbed the lady's hands which were shaking. "Ma'am please look at me and take deep breathes." Y/n says helping the now hyperventilating lady. "I will go find your daughter for you! There's no need to worry, if you go over there, Chief beifong should be there, you could let her know your situation and that Officer y/n went in to go grab your child." Y/n says as the lady shakily nods running to where Lin was. Y/n took a deep breather before running to where the building was. "Oh, my... I'm gonna die!! I'm practically gonna die!" Y/n said in disbelief looking at the building that was breaking down, debris flying around the building, chunks of the building breaking off. "Alright! Fuck it!" Y/n yelled running into the building. "Little Girl!!" Y/n yelled tripping over some broken rock in the building. "Shit, i should've asked for her name!" Y/n says kicking the broken rocks, pieces of furniture, that are either broken or somewhat still intact. "H-Help! Please!! Theres something on my l-leg! Please!! I can't breathe!!" The little girl yelled stuttering from her sobs and the pain on her lower body. "I'm here! Don't worry! I'm here to save you!" Y/n yelled running to the sound of the girl voice. "I'm scared!!" The girl yelled, seeing y/n run into the room she was in there was tons of rocks on her with a dressing leaning onto her. "Don't be scared! Do you see how strong I am! Your knight in shining armor is here princess! Knight y/n of Republic kingdom!" Y/n says with a smile ignoring the dirt all over her face, the little girl smiled seeing y/n. 'I promise I'll save this girl, she's so young she can't die, she has a life ahead of her.' Y/n thought to herself.
"Are you sure you c-can pick it up?" The girl stuttered as y/n gave the girl a smile. "Close your eyes." Y/n said as the girl nodded hesitantly closing her eyes. Y/n took a deep breathe before picking up the heavy dresser, small pieces of rock from the ceiling falling down onto her. "See?" Y/n asked with a smile as the young girl felt some confidence seeing a piece of what she was trapped under discarded. Y/n took a bending stance one hand guiding the rocks off her body and one stopping some of the rocks from falling onto them even more than it already is. Y/n heard the e little girl quickly scurrying out of the rocks. "Thank you miss! Thank you!" She yelled running to hug y/n who automatically hugged her back. "Ok princess! Mission one complete! Now it's time to get you out the scary castle!" Y/n says as the young girl nods. "Princess, What's your name?" Y/n asked while picking her up and placing her on her back. "My names Lapis!" She responds happily, as y/n runs through the house. "Such a pretty name for a pretty princess, Lapis! We're almost out to the house!" Y/n says taking the girl and running with her now hand in hand. Y/n saw the door getting covered with rocks, and quickly placed the girl infront of her. "Princess your mom is over next to the all the people, you'll see them as soon as you get outside, but you have to run or the evil dragon might get you ok?" Y/n says calming down her tone, to not seem scared. "Ok!! Knight y/n!" She says running out the door as y/n kept the rocks up with earth bending, letting out a sigh of relief.
