Chapter 2-5: "Backstory, The real one."

As promised, here's the official backstory.

17 Years ago, Y/n was taken from her birth mother by Tenzin, completely forgotten by her mother, but no need to discuss that any further. Tenzin let y/n live with him for the time being in the temple with Pema, but then Pema had become pregnant with y/n and he didn't want her there.

"Mommy? Will I ever have a sister?" Y/n asked Pema as she smiled at her, "Yes darling, I hope so." Pema responded before Tenzin walked in the house with Katara. "Y/n, Grandma's here, she's bringing you to the North Pole with her." He says as y/n looks at her mom and dad confused. "How come I'm not staying here in the temple?" She asked confused as Tenzin shook his head. "We're having renovations at the Temple for many years, and we need you somewhere safe." Tenzin says as y/n shrugs. "Go pack your bags Hunny, I'll talk with your father." Pema says as Y/n nods skipping to her bedroom. "Tenzin, we can't send her away just because Lin could get her memories jogged, this was your decision I don't want to be brought into this." Pema says as Tenzin grabs hold of Pema's hands. "Not only that, but I want kids of our own, not from Lin." Tenzin says as Pema looks at him disgusted. "Y/n is our own! You decided to choose the wrong of taking custody of her! You could've left her with Lin, Now look at what you've done; brought a little girl into our home! She doesn't even know what you've done!" Pema yells before turning to y/n's room.

"Y/n, have you finished?" Pema asks as y/n nods happily, she had no idea what was going on, and Pema felt horrible, she was just a little girl, And she was getting cheated out her childhood. "Yep! Lets go mommy!" Y/n said grabbing Pema's hand, she felt herself tear up feeling y/n's small hands holding tightly onto hers, clearly trusting her. "She's ready to go." Pema says coldly to Tenzin before kneeling to give y/n a hug as she got into the boat.

it had been 2 years, Y/n was a little older now and Katara had allowed her to walk around the tribe, while she was walking around, she ran into a girl 1 year older than her with two people next to her. "Watch where you're going..." Y/n muttered under her breathe, yes, she was sassy as a child. "What'd you say pipsqueak!?" Korra said as y/n looked up sweat dropped. "Huh?? I didn't say anything!" Y/n said as Korra Korra's parents weren't listening to the two young one's they didn't think it was a big deal. "Yes, you did! You're talking to the next avatar don't you know??" Korra asked as y/n shook her head. "My grandpa's the avatar! So, I don't believe you." Y/n yelled as Korra's parents finally payed attention to the two. "Korra, stop yelling at the poor girl, she probably didn't even do anything." Her mother Seanna says as y/n looks up at her. "Thank you miss!" Y/n said before running away as Korra muttered away angrily.

The Next day Korra was alone and found y/n again. "You!" Korra yelled seeing y/n looking at a pretty lady with traditional clothes. "What are you looking at?" Korra asked confused before looking to see a lady who had long hair wearing traditional decorated with flowers. "Please! That lady is so out your league!" Korra says as y/n snaps her head towards her. "S-shut up! I just wanna give her a flower!" Y/n muttered shyly as Korra raised a brow. "Are you shy...?" Korra asked as y/n looked at her. "N-no! I just don't like interacting with strangers...!" Y/n yelled as the crowd looked at her, she quickly ran to hide in a corner where No-one could see her Korra following close behind. "I'm not a stranger! I'm Korra! Your friend now, see not strangers anymore! Your name?" Korra asked happily as y/n looked at her with pink tinted cheeks. "I'm Y/n..." Y/n muttered as Korra nodded. "Awesome! Now! Let's get you to give that pretty lady a flower!" Korra says as y/n whines. "No way!! I can't talk to her!" Y/n muttered flushed as Korra pushed her towards the lady. "Excuse miss! But you're very pretty and my friend wants to give you a rose to complement how pretty you are!" Korra said as the older lady smiles at the two, knelling down. "How sweet of you two, Thank you very much." She said before placing a soft kiss on the two's foreheads as they both ran away giggling.
