~Aurora's POV~

Natasha and Uncle Clint are going to be so mad at me. I think to myself as Peter, Ned, and I walked to a nearby Café and talked for a while.

The subjects switched from superheroes to me beating up Flash, schoolwork, strict teachers, you know the usual things teenagers talk about. As we talk about the fight that I had just been in I expected them to be mean to me and lecture me "that beating him up was bad", but they actually thanked me and supported me. I could tell that they were also picked on by him in the past, so I felt good about putting Flash in his place.

I looked outside and noticed that it was getting late, so I decided to go home. I started to pack up all my homework and school supplies that were spread about on the café table and start to say goodbye to the guys.

"It was so nice to meet you guys but it's getting late and I gotta walk home." I say with a smile.

Peter offered to walk me home, which was nice of him, but I declined. I didn't want anyone knowing that I was living with the Avengers that would bring to much attention to myself. Plus, with the possibility that I might become a SHEILD agent one day, I don't want people to know me personally who are outside of my family and the Avengers, then they would know my weaknesses.

I pushed in my chair and started my journey home. It was dark out, so it made it hard to see anything, perfect for a surprise attack, I thought to myself as I continued my way to the tower on high alert. Luckily, I was trained by the two most dangerous assassins SHEILD has ever seen, so I hope for the attacker's sake that they don't try to attack me.

I pass a nearby park and shortly after I pass the gates, I begin to hear footsteps following behind me. While bending down to make it look like I was retying my shoe I secretly take out the knife that was hidden in my shoe. I turn around and stand in a defensive stance ready to slash at whoever was following me.

I immediately dropped my stance when I recognized who this person was, Peter. Anger, confusion, and relief all stormed inside me as I look at peter, who is standing on the dimly lit sidewalk with me.

"What are you doing Peter? I could have hurt you if I didn't see your face." I say with exasperation as I cross my arms judgingly, awaiting a response from him.

"I just wanted to make sure you got home safe, considering it's your first night in New York and there is a lot of dangerous people out on the streets. I was just worried about you, and it made me feel bad that you walked home alone" He explains.

My expression softens in understanding, but I quickly put my "wall of no emotion" back up and reply. "Well thank you, but I can take care of myself." With that I turn around and continue my way to Stark Tower.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I exit the elevator onto the living quarters floor of the tower, once I got to my room, it was 8:23. Wonder what Tony is doing. I thought as I left my room and went down to the lab.

I was approaching the lab when I heard talking. I decided to stay outside of the room to hear what was going on without them noticing. I hid under the window that was in the wall showing the lab as I listen in. What? It's not any different than what my uncle does! He's the one who is listening in on all the drama that happens in the tower through the vents!

"A girl beat up Flash today and look on his face was hilarious." I heard someone say it sounded like a boy around my age.

"Serves him right, he was a complete jerk." Tony said. I could hear the tone of his voice and it sounded like he was doing something while half listening to the kid.
