"red." Sans paused.
"what were you really doing before this?"
___-~*~-_____________-~*~-___
"well, i was not going to tell you in front of a fucking human!"
"red. now."
"i was getting to it, classic... boy, this is gonna be long..."

You were staring through the glass, trying to rule out possibilities.
Is this a different one that looks similar? No... couldn't be. A dream? No, you can't feel in dreams... you already know that!
And you felt a lot. You felt like you needed some way to let this shit out. It had only been an hour here and you had learned...
1. Monsters are real,
2. So is magic, and...
3. Gran was somehow involved with magic and possibly this whole mess.
That or you're going crazy.
You looked through the lens again, those colored tracks were still there.
Not crazy.

"so let me get this straight. you were at the snowdin station, hiding from a certain angry skeleton, then you think you fell asleep and now you're here?"
"yeah, if you're thinking of oversimplified bull. it was fucking- it was him, class! him! and i didn't even close my eyes, i blinked!"
"pretty sure that counts as closing your eyes, but i get your point."
"take this fucking seriously asshole. say, what kinda shit were you in before me? 'cause if you're also missing your fucking magic!- we're on the same level of shit right now! might actually help for once! oh- and please, do tell the fucking human's story would'ya?!"

You, being oh so smart, decided to follow those tracks.
The tracks had some sand on them and they had been scattered, some footsteps were missing while others were too close together. Either this person was hurt or very drunk. You felt a pang of concern. The pattern looked like how your friend walked when she got a broken leg. Stubbornness is the thing she's best at...
Maybe it's her? You hoped not... she hates mysteries. Not to mention if it is her, she's definitely hurt.
She did love forests though. Guess you got your knowledge of survival from her and her various injuries over the years.
You hoped she was okay... are people wondering where you were? Are they concerned too? Who am you kidding, they probably think your still at gran's...
The path Sandy took was very difficult to walk through, it looked like they were purposely blocking the path with loose branches and rocks. You could tell because they were faintly glowing in places. Weird thing about that magnifying glass was that it didn't work like a regular one. You had to figure that out with trial and error before you realized that it basically worked like a window.
...Kind of. You just had to look through it, no getting up close to an object or anything like that.
Then the magnifying glass stopped working. How fun.
However, you soon came across a large tree with its roots outside of the ground forming a small hole. Other trees in the area had that quality too but it was the only one someone could hide in if they didn't want to be too cramped or have their body showing.
