"where the fuck is the human, class?"

___-~*~-_____________-~*~-___

Red had noticed the lack of any human in the nearby forest first, it's been an hour since then. Both of the skeletons thought they may be dead. Or worse, discovered by a certain skeleton. If it weren't for the 'new objective' looming over them.

When Classic and Red managed to explain bits of the situations they both had been put in, through an argument of course, the shortstacks had conjured up a theory as to whatever the fuck happened to the device to set it off.

They figured it was him. And that he got some of the others here as well.

...But then why was the damn human here?

They were cleaning a fireplace, then saw a painting of a fucking tree, and now they're here. How does that connect in the slightest? Did you know more than you said? Were you lying to Class? Why didn't you tell them your name?

"Wait, so you never told them your name?" Sandy had listened to your whole story at this point, all the way through to finding them.

"No, I... I... oh shit! How did I forget that? It's the simplest thing of meeting someone!" You were an official idiot. It humored them though.

"It's okay! You can just tell them when you see them again!" Sandy spoke in between their laughs, which sounded significantly less raspy.

"Yeah, you're right. At least I'm radish-ing..."

"Pff! You said that dumb joke already! Ha-ow! Ha ha-agh!" You couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as their laughter turned into soft groans of pain.

"Hey, Sandy, you okay? Is your injury acting up?" A strained 'mhm' came from the hole.

.
..
...

"S-sandy?" They still sounded pained.

"Yeah, your tracks were sandy so I've been calling you that in my head. Are you okay?"

"...I'm not going to be able to heal this on my own. Help me get out, please." You came over to the shadowy hole and extended your hand to which a familiar gloved one grabbed.

"I'm going to pull in moment. I'll count down to it, okay? Tell me if it hurts too much."

"Okay."

"Alright. Three..." Sandy shifted their body into place.

"Two..." Their grip tightened.

"One." You pulled.

Sandy pulled himself with his other hand, being careful with their leg. As they came into the light you noticed that they didn't have skin. They were another skeleton. Were there any humans here? Sandy carefully maneuvered themselves to sit in front of the hole. They were pretty beaten up.

"Can you help move me to the tree? I'm not able to move much..."

"I can do that. Grab onto me, okay?" You carefully helped them up, then slowly walked to the tree. Sandy sat and leaned against it.

"Can you let me see your leg?" They rolled up their pants. Oh god.

"It's my femur. Closer to the knee." You could see It was almost detached. How were they even able to move? How long were they like this?

"I need to grab you a splint. I'll be right back, don't move. Call out for me if you need anything."
