Chapter 2

It's been one month since I got reincarnated, and I think I finally understand the basics of this world. First, I'm on a continent named Dicathen and it's made up of four parts: the elf kingdom Elenoir, the dwarf kingdom Darv, the human kingdom Sapin, and finally the beast glades. The main source of power in this world is mana which can be utilized by those who have mana cores. For the three races each person who awakens is separated into a few categories which are Conjurer, Augmenter, Emiter, and Diviner, and each can utilize mana in a different way.

I myself can do everything except see into the future which is the diviner's ability, because not only do I have a mana core, but both my mana veins and channels are fully developed. My heart produces darkness, and uses my blood streams to move the energy throughout the body, and I learn that through it I can heal both myself and others if I have physical contact with them. I also learned that I have three different forms, the first is that of an infant dragon, the second form is my human form with black horns, and my final form is that of a black cat with golden eyes. Of these forms my dragon form is currently the strongest but it also uses more energy than the two other forms.

In the past month I've also discovered these golden particles that seem to be integrating into my core, and after a bit of inspection they seem to contain some sort of will. When I first discovered them I tried to get rid of them, but no matter what I do they just keep moving towards my core. Today is the day when they'll finish moving into my core and I'm kinda afraid of what they might do.

Let's just hope they're not going to try to kill me or something.

I thought while inspecting the last few particles as they fell into place. Suddenly as the last particle entered my mana core an almost unbearable spike of pain shot through my whole body.

Well shit...

I thought before I blacked out. I stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity before I opened my eyes only to find myself in an open plan of grass. As I scanned the plain my eyes stopped when I saw a white hair woman.

She seems familiar, but I don't remember her.

As I looked at her she looked at me before financially speaking.

"Greetings Child, my name is Silvia and I'm your mother."

If she's my mother does she have something to do with those particles? If they were from her then why'd they hurt so much? Is she my enemy?

"I'm sure you have many questions for me, but this is only a recording I attached to my will before giving it to you. First I should tell you that you aren't fully a dragon, you're also part basilisk. Normally you wouldn't be able to fully access the powers of both clans, but with part of my will you'll be able to have access to Relmheart. Relmheart is the unique magic of our clan called the indrath clan, it allows you to better utilize mana and give you a chance at manipulating Aether. Aether is a higher energy than mana and is also much more potent, with Aether depending on your genus you can manipulate Time, Space, and Life or Aevum, Spatium, and Vivum as we call them. After my massage ends you'll get some of my memories on both aether and the basilisk's unique magic called Decay magic. Second I should tell you about your circumstances, your father is trying to get ahold of both you and your sister who's still with me and he's planning on using you for experiments to try to manipulate an edict of aether called Fate. Although I don't know much about fate I know that if he gets ahold of it he will end up taking over the world. To prevent that I managed to attach a spell to you concealing your origins from your father but I still recommend hiding your horns so as to not draw attention. Finally, don't dedicate your life to gaining strength, live your life like any other would and enjoy it, and who knows I might even get to see you in the flesh if the opportunity presents it. That's all and live a good life my child... Lucifer."

As her words ended her body dissolved into golden particles and entered my body. And just as they did, another bout of unbearable pain shot through me as I saw memories imprinting themselves onto my mind. Then for the second time today, I blacked out.

When I woke up I found myself in the familiar hellscape with one big difference.

I can see energies now!

I thought as I looked at the spectrum of colors around me. From what I could tell the colors red, blue, green, and brown were different types of mana particles. The black ones were the darkness that I produced, but the purple ones that I couldn't even sense before seem to be aether. Looking through the memories I received I found that each person has a different genius and their genius determined what branch of aether a person could manipulate. From what I could see, the genius could be determined by what runes a person had when in relmheart.

Well here goes nothing.

I thought as I focused on the will in my core, and as I distributed the golden particles throughout my body it lit up with golden and black runes.

Well that's not supposed to happen...

I thought about looking at the black runes.

Well first let's check my genius.

I then look at the golden runes all over my body. Most of my golden runes had to do with Vivum but there were a few runes that had to do with Spatium.

Do I have two geniuses?

I asked mentaly, before double checking to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

Is it because half of my relmheart is from someone else or is it because of the influence of darkness? I guess I'll have to research that later, next let's see if I can make sense of the black runes.

I thought before inspecting the black runes littering my body. They seem to be running on darkness instead of aether but the runic language is different form both the mana and aether.

Well I guess I'm going to have to find out in the future when I have more leads to what they could be.

I thought before deciding to experiment with the mana capabilities of relmheart.

Ok, I'll be updating on Mondays and Fridays, and Friday chapters will probably be longer.

I'm planning on having both Jasmine and Varay as love interests, although I'm planning on making them way stronger than the cannon counterparts. My reason for this is I hate when love interests are just dead to the mc (cough, cough, Tess... ) and I'm also probably going to make them slightly less human. Not like vitra blooded but something like they have a bit of darkness in them. And finally can someone come up with a better name than darkness, like please.
