We were currently leaving the adventure guild to go back home after that 'not so great' first impression. After I almost killed that guy with my intent, we went on to take a Rank Examination where our skills would be tested and we'd be assigned a rank. We both chose to just match the power of the examiners strength and got A-rank, then left shortly after.
As we were walking Varay broke the silence and asked, "Hey Lucifer, what's our end goal?" Her question kind of surprised me, because Varay almost never asked questions. Thinking about her question I said, "I'm not entirely sure. My main priority is to ensure our safety and well being, so I guess that our end goal is to deal with those who jeopardize our peace." She just nodded at my answer and continued walking.

We were about half the way back to our home when we heard a loud scream and decided to check it out. When we arrived at the source of the scream we saw a girl that seemed to be about our age getting attacked by a Fenrir, 'This situation seems familiar.' I thought, thinking back to when I saved Varay.
I then turned to Varay and said, "I'm going to save her, you can come with or stay here." She just nodded and followed me as I ran towards the massive wolf-like beast. I first beheaded the beast and then turned to the girl who was missing her entire lower half.
'Ok, this is very similar to the time when I found Varay.' I thought as I decided to use the Fenrir to save this girl, the same way I use the phoenix to save Varay. Although Fenrir wasn't a demonized mana beast it was ranked higher than the phoenix that I used to heal Varay and I'm also stronger now.
I activated Relmheart as the world around me became filled with all different types of colors. Reaching out to the white energy coming off the dead Fenrir I commanded it to enter the girl's body while also healing any damage she'll take from the forced assimilation. Her body started to change as she took in the life energy from the Fenrir, and she started to gain some of its characteristics.
'Wolf girl... Nice' I thought, as I saw her grow a tail and wolf ears. (A/n I decided to make Jasmine a wolf girl as an excuse to make her stronger so..... ) I watched as the last of the white light entered her body and noticed that it forcefully developed her mana core from light red to light yellow. 'Damn, that's kinda OP.' I thought, ignoring the fact that I'm a stupidly overpowered Dragon.
Standing up I looked over to my side where Varay was inspecting the girl, "Are we going to bring her with us?" she asked, still examining the wolf girl's body. I just sighed and said, "Ya, I think we have to. Otherwise she could be experimented on because of her unique features." Varay nodded and then said, "Ok, but I'm training her so that she's not a burden, and earns the right to live with the life you've given her."
"Ya that's fine just don't overdue it." I said as I picked up the girl and resumed the walk back to our territory.

I slowly opened my eyes thinking that I'll be in some sort of afterlife, after my encounter with the SS+ rank Fenrir. But to my surprise, I woke up in a wooden room lit with candles. I slowly got up to examine the room but felt something fluffy brush against my leg.
'An animal' I thought, looking down to see what it was. What met my eyes was a tail covered in pure black fur, but what really shocked me was that the tail was connected to me. It was My tail, 'what in the hell... since when do I have a tail.' I mentally asked myself, trying to remember if I had a tail before. 'Wait, what if I was captured by some crazy scientist who experimented on me. I have to get out of here fas-' my thoughts were cut off as someone opened the door.
"Oh, it seems you're awake." said the person. I looked up to see who it was only to be met with a child around my age with black hair and bright golden eyes. "W-who are you?" I asked in fear, just because they looked like a kid doesn't mean that they are, appearances can be deceiving. He looked at me for a second before answering, "My name is Lucifer, and I'm the one who saved you from that Fenrir."
'This kid saved me from the Fenrir? No way, that's not possible, Fenrir is one of the strongest mana beasts that exist in the Beast Glades and you're telling me that a mere child took one down.' I thought, still believing in my crazy scientist theory.
As if seeing the doubt in my eyes he sighed and said, "I'm sure you've noticed that you have wolf ears and a tail, and the answer to that is quite simple. I used the energy and vitality of the Fenrir to heal you when you were about to die, the side effect of that is you became about 60% Fenrir and gained some of its characteristics." I thought about his words for a second before coming to a realization, 'Wait, I have wolf ears too?' I thought as I reached up and grabbed two fluffy ears protruding from my head.
He simply chuckled at my reaction and said, "I'll let you rest for a bit longer, then I'm going to send my friend Varay to help you adapt to your new abilities." I just nodded and continued playing with my new ears. "Well, I'll see you later then." he said as he left the room.
'I have a feeling that my life's going to change big time...' I thought as I slowly went back to sleep.

A/n I made Jasmine a wolf girl and I'm sorry for those who are against that, but I needed an excuse to make her stronger. Also she could just use illusion magic to cover them up so it fits her.
