Shaun's P.O.V.

I watched as she walked into a classroom, doubled up laughing as Cameron stared after them dumbfounded.

He turned back to me, his face confused. He glanced down at his arm again, scowled, and started rubbing at the fake number.

I smirked, watching his furious attempt. "So maybe waiting it out is a better idea," I laughed. He glared at me and picked up his backpack. He slung it over his shoulder and we started to make our way to first period Calculus.

We walked in a few seconds after the bell rang and the teacher called out, "Smith, Stevenson. You're late, go get your tardy slips." Cameron tossed his backpack onto his desk and turned to leave when I said, "I'll get them." Cameron nodded and flopped into his desk.

I walked back out the door and started strolling off down the hallway. I was in no hurry, math wasn't exactly my "strong point."

As I walked down the hallway and came up to the office I heard a girl's muffled giggles.

I came around the hallway and my stomach dropped. Outside of the office was her, the girl. And she had her arms around the neck of some douche.

She giggled again and whispered, "Cody, you can't just lie and say you're my brother just because you want to see me."

Cody said quietly, "I know Kaylee, but I really wanted to see you. I haven't seen my girlfriend since Friday. That's a lot to ask of a guy."

I clenched my fists and tried to walk past them casually. As I did I looked the guy over.

He had dyed blonde and black hair sticking up everywhere. He was taller and stronger than Kaylee. He was wearing black leather pants and a jacket with chains hanging everywhere. He had piercings all over. His eyebrows, ears, nose, and he had snakebites.

Normally guys like that didn't bug me, but this guy was pissing me off.

Kaylee is a nice name though.

Kaylee's P.O.V.

Cody had his arms wrapped around my waist. I was so happy to see him, he made me feel so special.

Then I got a whiff of something. "Have you been drinking?" I asked.

A good-looking, curly haired kid walked out of the office and we went silent.

He glared openly at Cody and I rolled my eyes. People these days.

Once he was gone I looked back at Cody. He looked down at the floor and stepped away from me. "Why does it matter?" He grumbled.

I sighed and said, "Never mind. I have to get to class."

I went up on my tiptoes and pecked him a kiss goodbye on the cheek then headed back to class.

I really did like him, it's just that he always drank and fought so much. One time I found a small baggy of white powder in his apartment, but he swore it was one of his friends. I still wasn't very sure about that.

I knew Jessie silently disapproved of him, but would never say so in front of me.

I walked into class, flashing the teacher a smile and dropped into my desk next to Jessie. "How's your brother?" She asked twirling her pen in her fingers. I bit my lip and said, "It was Cody."

Jessie turned to me, confused, "But I thought your brother....,"

"He wanted to see me. It was the only way he could," I said taking out my notebook. I saw Jessie shake her head slightly and go back to her work.
