It was weird
Absolutely weird
Rakshit and Romi had started reminiscing their childhood and developed those same childhood feelings they once had for each other.
The two of them had longed for each other secretly but this longing was turning into an impatient feeling of having each other back in their lives.
Yes it was true that they pretended to hate each other, did so many things against each other but when time came to stand by- they did stand, even if secretly.
Love hate relationships- siblings share these, just in some cases hate exceeds certain times but that doesn't imply that their love has ended.
Such are siblings.
It was weird for Divya since she didn't want Romi to be talking to Rakshit. Any contact of her people with those who were in Drishti's life was unbearbale fot her.
All of them were sitting on the table and having their breakfast. Since it was 9 in the morning dadi and her sister had left for the temple to pray for all her children.
Divya didn't know what happened to Drishti a few days ago hence showed no concern for her mood which was generally off when Rakshit, Romi or dadi weren't around her.
Drishti had made all of Rakshit's favourites for the third consecutive day. Romi laughed seeing his poor brother's situation.
Rakshit was full but Drishti kept stuffing more and more in his mouth ignoring all his requests to stop.
"Aaa!" She opened her mouth to show him how it was done but when he didn't open it she grabbed his jaw and dug her fingers into his cheeks, thus opening his mouth and forcing another bite in "Good boy"
She said happily before making another bite and lifting it to his mouth. Rakshit looked like he was about to cry. There was no way Drishti would be stopping today. His mistake was that he mentioned he was hungry to an extent he could eat the whole house.
Choose your words wisely
He understood the meaning of that line today.
Now he was paying for his words.
"You want more?" Don't suppose it to be a question. It was just a formality she wanted to do so that he wouldn't say she forced him to eat all that.
"No!" He yelled, glaring at her.
But then came the superior death glare by Drishti seeing which his eyes held back the tears as he opened his mouth in which another bite was mercilessly stuffed.
"You are one hungry Shergill" like she talked to a child, she spoke in a baby voice and hit his nose with her forefinger.
"Mrs. Shergill, please, stop" he requested.
"What? More? Here, have mine too" holding her plate happily in her hands she took some food but before she could bring that to his face he vanished.
Just like black magic
Romi burst into laughter seeing Rakshit run to his room for safety and then see Drishti looking atound herself sadly and finishing her food.
"Nobody loves me!" She complained.
Romi chuckled and as Divya was gone to the kitchen Romi kept his hand on her head and said "Aw, its okay. I love you"
"I love you too!" She exclaimed happily. "But he doesn't love me!"
"He's one stupid man! Don't worry. We will kidnap him tonight and throw him into a river"
"Nice idea!" She whispered. As both of them leaned closer to have a secret talk she looked here and there like a spy. "But what if he dies? His ghost will haunt us"
"Oh yeah, I think we should throw a blanket over him and beat him tonight, what say?" And he was dead serious on this one.
"Fantastic!" She smiled. "Tonight?"
"Tonight" he confirmed as they shook hands and settled properly as Divya came. "I'll text you the time when Divya goes" he whispered to her.
"Okay" she whispered back.
The plan was on.
After finishing the breakfast she went to their room and ran towards the bed, jumping on Rakshit's back who was trying to relax as he had taken a few days off to rest.
Now the people whose brain functions normally would know that one shouldn't jump on people after they had their breakfast. But brain and Drishti- that too when she was around him.
No thanks
"Ah!" He yelled as she crashed on his back and yelled his name while moving her legs up and down and keeping her hands on his shoulders. "Drishti! My back!"
"Yeah, I am on your back" she smiled before being forcefully pushed off him as he rolled. "Hey!" She yelled when he grabbed her shoulders to keep her moving self in place.
Getting over her he took a pillow from beside Drishti's head and hit her face with it, continuing the act till she punched his chest.
"Ah!" He yelled.
"You Rude person!" She exclaimed before taking the pillow from his hands and attacking him.
Think before you act.
Yeah he understood that meaning too.
"How dare you?" She yelled as she violently attacked him.
"Drishti" he sighed before pretending that he was crying. In reality too he would have cried before she was irritating him too much. "I hate you"
Dramatic- she thought.
"I hate you too" she said. Throwing the pillow away she laid beside him and kept her arm around his chest and leg around his waist.
He thanked god that she had finally stopped and now they could have some time in peace. Turning towards her he pulled her closer to him and kept her head on a pillow so that she didn't get uncomfortable.
"Mr. Shergill?"
"Yeah"
"Can I ask you something if it doesn't anger you?"
"If not you then who else can Mrs. Shergill?" She smiled.
"Um" making circles on his chest wiyh her finger she bowed her head as he looked at him "Don't you love Romi? He's such a nice brother"
Silence prevailed.
Rakshit didn't know how to answer that particular question. He did but he wasn't ready to accept because of their relation over the past many years.
"Rakshit?" She mumbled.
"I" he sighed "I don't know Drishti, I don't know"
