I went back home and went to my brother's room. I found him reading a book. He looked at me nonchalantly and returned to reading.

"......."

"What?"

"D-Do you know them, Jeonghan?" he frowned and looked at me. "Why?" He asked me if I could talk more but suddenly the door opened and mom and dad entered the room.

Dad is holding a knife and mom is holding him back. My older brother stood up because of his actions. "D-dad, why?" He was about to hurt me but our mom stopped him.

"What! Stop it!" my hands and my mouth started to tremble again. My chest tightened at what my dad was doing to me.

"Grace didn't bring pride in this family, are you still a human in that state? You are an animal!" He pushed mom away from him and he angrily grabbed my wrist and took me to the basement of the house.

"D-Dade what are you going to do—" I heard the click of his stainless padlock. "Dad!" I shouted as I kept slamming the door. "Dad, I don't want to be here!" The dirty and darkroom turned around and exposed me.

"You haven't bought anything good here to house grace! You're embarrassing," I heard his footsteps. He left me.

I just sat on the floor and hugged my knee because of the cold. I was just stunned in the dark and wondering what could happen in my life.

That one word ruins my world and my life.

I give my best.

I tried my best.

I suffered a lot.

I studied a lot.

I did my best

Am I still wrong?

I'm still a disgrace?

Am I a part of this family?

I heard knocking from outside. Earlier I was really cold and the insects kept biting me here in the basement. But I don't feel like talking to them now.

Why isn't my dad listening on my side?

"Dear....grace ...."

"It's me, mom," something stuck in my throat. I couldn't release all my anger because I was scared. I'm afraid my family won't love me.

"I'm sorry, mom can't do anything for you ..." I heard her sniffing, I made mom cry ...

I heard bird noises from the window. I opened my eyes and I could see the dust floating made of sunlight and wind entering the basement.

I also heard two vehicles pass by. I know that's my dad and my older brother wonwoo because they have operations this afternoon. I always check their schedule to bring them food to the hospital.

They don't know that because I tell the nurses not to say anything because they might not eat when they find out I'm the one who made it.

I heard the door padlock being opened so I stood up properly and shook myself. When the door opened I saw my dad "D-Dad," He rolled his eyes at me. And walked away.

"Get dressed, we're going to your school," he said as he walked away from me.

You're so close to me dad but your feelings and love for me as a daughter is so far from reality to my fantasy.

"I-I don't want to go there," he turned to me wearing his frowning face again. He was always angry when I was with him.

"Why? Are you ashamed of what you're doing? Take action," he came down and left me standing in front of my room.
