(Tommyinnit's POV)

I ran over to the shrine we had made for Wilbur. A figure stood on it, shrouded by the mist. Please don't be Wil, please, I thought, though it probably- no- definitely was.

Out from the mist emerged a figure, one I'd seen in the afterlife when I had died. He was wearing a brown overcoat, and had a grey streak of hair in his honey-brown hair.

"Oh..." Wilbur Soot said, feeling his arms.

"Oh, no..." I whispered. I remember the short time we had spent in the afterlife.

- flashback -

I sat down on one of the chairs.

"I'm- I'm really happy you're here, man," Wilbur said, smiling.

"Stop saying that. Stop it," I said shakily, my breathing uneven.

"I felt this space growing for you in here, right, and y'know why, Tommy, you know why I'm glad? Because me and you were never good for that server. We just weren't, like- look at- look at the whole history of the server, and it all falls in our laps, the problems, right? You're doing this thing, you're doing this thing where you do your shaky breath again."

"Thanks for pointing it out," I said sarcastically, still looking around

"Think about it, think about it! Everything that's gone wrong, it's down to us, it lies at our footsteps."

"When you talk like this, I do the thing where my voice gets shaky! When you talk like this!" I shouted.

"Yeah, yeah. Here's the thing, I genuinely think that if- if- if it weren't for me and you dying, right, the server would be in shambles. I know for a fact that if I come back, or if I'm brought back to life in some way, it's definitely gonna..."

His voice trailed off.

"Don't fuckin'... Fuck off, you're fucking here... And I'm so- huh?"

"I know what I'm like. That's the issue," he said smugly.

"Well I know what I'm like, and I FUCKING HATE IT HERE!" I screamed.

And just as swiftly as I had been brought here, I disappeared again.

The first thing I had seen was Dream, the bastard who had sent me there; but I was too exhausted to argue with.

"So what was it like?!" he exclaimed excitedly.

"What was wh... What was what like...?" I said

"What was it like?! I dunno. I've never been to the afterlife," he said sarcastically.

," I stammered

There was a dark silence.

"What did it feel like?"

"What did it feel... What did what feel like?"

"Like, death?" he questioned.

He was fucking asking me how death felt?

"You fuckin'- You are fucking monster. It felt-" I laughed shakily.

"I- What, no, what did it feel like? You're- Tommy, no-one has ever been dead and been back. I was- honestly, I was kind of scared it wouldn't work, but-"

"-you were scared... You were scared it wouldn't work?"

"Well, I never tried it."

"Death was..." I paused, breathing shakily. "Death was- death was- it was- . And then put back apart here. I felt stretched, man."
