"jeongguk, let's go." lisa sighed. "he's not coming."

"no," jeongguk bounced his legs impatiently, glancing at the entrance of the airport, hoping taehyung would enter anytime soon.

"gguk, it's been 3 hours since you're waiting. let's go." yugyeom frowned. jeongguk bit his lips, tears rising to his eyes. he blinked them back, nodding like a little puppy as he followed the others. he had no idea why here to they were going. bambam's hand was slung over his shoulder so jeongguk was assured he isn't getting lost.

there was no way taehyung didn't show up to see him off. were all those kisses fake? the hugs? those words?

jeongguk chuckled to himself, voice void of any humor. "ggukie?" bambam called out, voice confused as he stopped in his tracks. jeongguk tugged at his arm and pulled him ahead as they catched up with the others.

they checked in and soon, got on their flight. jeongguk took his seat near the window and yugyeom sat down beside him, one hand on his thigh.

"gguk-"

"i was hoping he'd come." jeongguk said quietly, a lump starting to form in his throat. "yug, he was going to ask me for a r-relationship."

"what do you mean?" yugyeom asked.

"when I went to meet him yesterday, i told him we are going back and he went to restroom. and this paper," Jeongguk pulled out a neatly folded paper slip from his wallet. "it fell from his pocket. and this was everything what he was going to say to me and-" he took in a deep breath, leaning his head on yugyeom's shoulder and hugging his waist. yugyeom sighed, wrapping an arm around jeongguk's shoulder as he rested his chin atop his head.

"you don't have to tell me," he said softly. "gguk, do you love him?"

"i like him." jeongguk said. "i'm scared. what if i hurt him?"

"no, gguk. we're not going back again." yugyeom shook his head, hugging jeongguk tighter. "stop, let's not think of the past."

jeongguk kept quiet, snuggling further into yugyeom as he closed his eyes shut.

"did you see him?" taehyung asked the moment the door opened and yoongi and hoseok walked in.

"no," hoseok shook his head. "i think he left, tae."

taehyung sniffed, nodding, the look on his face similar to a child who didn't get his favourite candy.

"tae, you can still text hi-"

"he lost his phone! and we didn't even exchange numbers with his friends," taehyung snapped.

"taehyung," namjoon warned. taehyung realised he was literally shouting at someone who wasn't even at fault.

"sorry," he muttered, bowing down his head. "i'll be there in my room. i don't want lunch." he turned around on his heel and rushed into his room, the door slamming shut behind him. he locked the door and grabbed his mobile and speaker. he connected his mobile to the speaker and turned up the volume before putting some upbeat songs. he put the speaker near the door along with his mobile.

sitting with his back against the bed, he hugged his knees, hiding his face in them. it didn't take long for the waterworks to start. clear liquid dropped down taehyung's cheeks and he sobbed into his trembling palm, voice not audible over the loud, upbeat music.

"tae-" namjoon started to walk upstairs but seokjin grabbed his hand, shaking his head.

"don't go, joon. let him be." seokjin said. "he doesn't need anyone now. he'll come out after sometime on his own."

oh but he was wrong, so, so wrong. it was almost dinner time yet taehyung hadn't come out of his room. the music had died down a long time ago, and now the entire mansion was silent, only the occasional sound of knife hitting the chopping board heard.

"should we check up on him?" seokjin asked once they all finished cooking for dinner.

"yeah, he needs to have dinner. he didn't have anything after he came back yesterday. and i bet he's tired from his breakdown last night too." yoongi said, the crease in his brows a sight no one saw often.

the second oldest was always calm and collected. never panicking and always had his shit together. but when it came to taehyung? he'd get worked up, panicking all the time.

"let's go upstairs." hoseok said as he pulled off his apron. the four of them walked to taehyung's room and seokjin gently knocked on the door.

"taehyung," he called out. no answer. "tae, are you listening?" no response again. "taehyung," he banged on the door, slight panic lacing his words. "i'm coming in," he warned. no answer once again.

seokjin ran to his room and got the spare key to the room. he unlocked the door and pushed it open to see taehyung laying on the floor, eyes closed.

"taehyung!" yoongi shouted and rushed to him, falling onto his knees and pulling taehyung's head on his knees. he slapped his cheek softly, shaking him to wake him up.

"yoongi," namjoon called out. "hyung, wait, look at this," he pulled a pills bottle from behind taehyung. "these are sleeping pills. i think he's taken some."

"some?"

"i'm sure he knows how many are harmful." namjoon said. "let's just escort him into the bed and have dinner. he'll wake up by then. these pills work for only 5 hours."

and so, they had their dinner before again going back to taehyung's room. the youngest was awake, seemed like he woke up just now because he was still getting familiar to his surroundings.

"tae," yoongi called out firmly as he walked to him. taehyung looked at him, his eyes bloodshot red, tiredness pooling in his brown irises. "who said you could take sleeping pills?"

taehyung flinched at the loud voice and he looked down at his clasped hands. "i'm sorry, hyungs." he apologized. "i had a bad headache and i wasn't feeling good, like i'd throw up any minute. and i was tired but i couldn't sleep. so i..." he pointed to the small glass bottle in yoongi's hand.

"are you feeling good now?" yoongi asked

"are you not angry?"

"not angry. i'm still upset, tae." yoongi said. "you need to listen to me when I say i don't want you anywhere near this bottle. it's not good."

taehyung nodded, muttering out, "i'm sorry."
